Condition of Muslims

SeekerOfGod

Ahmadi Muslim
Peace be upon you all.

I have a set of questions for the Muslims. If you could answer them with a little bit of explaination if required. :

Do you believe in the coming of Imam Mahdi / return of Jesus? (Yes/No)

What will be the conditions of Muslims when he (or they if you take the two titles ad two different persons) comes?

What is the condition of today's Muslims? What is it in relation to above question?

When he comes, will all (or majority) of Muslims accept him immediately or will he be rejected (like previous prophets)?

Why does he need to come?

One way Muslims generally take the teachings of the Quran is as warnings. What do you take (or learn) from the teachings of the Quran with regards to the numerous examples of nations rejecting Prophets and the impending spiritual punishments (after having received the warnings)? If prophets are not needed anymore, what import do these teachings have?

I have no intention of replying as I want to learn about differing views (if any), though I may if needent be so. You've probably figured out I am an Ahmadi Muslim, hence my questions.

Salam dear brother and welcome to RF :foryou:.
As far as the Qur'an is concerned , Prophet Jesus is dead and no Imam Mehdi will come . But Hadith mentioned about it but I don't believe them as ALLAH , the Almighty knows better than the human , if they will really about to come and no doubt HE , the Exalted was going to mention it in the Qur'an .

Regarding your second question , if I understood it right , the door of Prophet hood (Nawi) is closed but Messenger ship(Rasool) is open . Hence the duty of Rasool is to remind the people with the Qur'an about GOD's instruction and people need to listen to it .

Peace be upon you all.

and upon you :)

I have a set of questions for the Muslims. If you could answer them with a little bit of explaination if required. :

you have to know you will receive different answers as there are different sects

YES

As i know that the west will be fighting the Muslims under 80 flags in Syria and then the people will find the mahdi closer to the kaaba and they will ask him to announce khilafa and unite the muslims under one flag and he will and after victory the anti christ will apppear in asfhan "a place in iran today" and then Jesus will appear

you have the right to doubt that it's this era but i can't confirm

he won't be a prophet, but from what i read that 1/3 of his army will escape from syria and so Allah won't forgive them, but the problem will be in the anti christ as a lot of people will follow him
Why does he need to come?
it's Allah's plan, and so he will come to reunite Muslims again, you have to know that since the prophet's death and till 1924 all Muslims were under one falg,, no borders, no nationalities, no passports and visas, you can a find an egyptian man is ruling algeria and vice versa it wasn't a problem

as i said before Mahdi isn't a prophet according to Sunni, he just a good man who will reunite us and he won't come with a new law or sharia, you hear about Saladin, he was a great hero who reunite the nations before and free quds and beat the crusaders, Mahdi will be something like that

wa alikum salam. Welcome to the forum.

Regarding your questions:
1. There are few muslims (ie. wahabis) who deny the islamic messianism. And few among the rest combine these two personalities. the others who form the majority belive they came/will come and they are different men. And I accept the last.
2. For that you can study the conditions and signs of the appearance (Zuhur) of the Mahdi.
3. as dynavert said, we guess it is the exact age. One needs to study THE END TIMES by Said Nursi or Islamic Eschatology by Sheikh Imran Hossein. (Sorry, I suggested them here again and again.)
4. Mahdi (a.s) is not a Prophet but a spiritual and political leader who revives religion. And Jesus (a.s) (you can combine the two) alike. We have numerous traditions that they will revive the religion and their followers (ie. some muslims and true christians and all oppressed people) will form unity. But, as you said there are always deniers.
5. Not to bring a new religion or code of course [5:3].. But to fullfil the promises for believers and all (muslim and non-muslim) downtrodden nations as mentioned in Quran, 28:4 and etc.
6. Quran, Chapter 12 (Yusuf/Joseph) verse 2,3 and especially 111 explains the philosophy of narrating these stories. However, it does not mean there will come some prophets and people will deny them. Prophet Muhammad is the seal of Prophets.. And, yes, as you said, these stories are there for their (including Prophet Muhammad) accepters and deniers. and for those of spiritual leaders (though not prophets) who resurrect their religion.
As per your question about the need for Prophets, you can study the part "Finality of the Prophethood" in the book Man and Universe by Murtaza Mutahhari to learn about shia islamic perspective.
Good luck with your studies. Ma salam.
