WASHINGTON - House Democrats on Tuesday narrowly managed to avert a bruising debate on a proposal to impeach Dick Cheney after Republicans, in a surprise maneuver, voted in favor of taking up the measure. Republicans, changing course midway through a vote, tried to force Democrats into a debate on the resolution sponsored by longshot presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
The anti-war Ohio Democrat, in his resolution, accused Cheney of purposely leading the country into war against Iraq and manipulating intelligence about Iraq's ties with al-Qaida.

Cowards care more about being elected than doing what's right. There is a huge movement calling for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney; larger than anything that happened in the 90s. Impeach, indict, and incarcerate

Yes.... a huge movement..... kucinich was trying to get a little free press, and he always has to stand up because when he sits down, nobody can see him. :biglaugh:

Kucinich is the only legislator I know of who has consistently taken a principled stand on the issues, consequences be damned. His opinions and warnings on foreign policy have consistently proven correct. Other legislators scramble to reverse themselves and make excuses as the political winds shift.

Darth Vader and his boss Lord Pissypants should both be impeached. One problem is that much of Congress is just as guilty as they are. Concerning the illegal war in Iraq, the elimination of habeas corpus, or illegal wiretapping, Congress has dirt all over their hands and they are no position to impeach.

Kucinich saved Cleveland millions from refusing to privatize the local energy company. I can't say the same of Bush/Cheney and their squandering billions on Iraq... illegally, mind you.
