connection between ahunted places and caverns and wells

I once heard of a connection or explanation for some haunting being related to a houses being built upon wells or underground caverns. I tried googleing but can not find any thing. Has any one heard of this? I belivei have heard it to ways. One wass that the cavern or water could cause an effect much like emf. The other was it acted as focus for the spirits. either way I wanted to investigate the connection or explantion but cant find anything but bs on google.

Which is a weird idea, because in a lot of folklore water cancels out spiritual energy...ghosts, demons, vampires...

If the cavern has the right size and shape, it could be conducive to channeling, reflecting or amplifying infrasound. Infrasound has been implicated in at least two hauntings that I can think of (one in a laboratory and one in a cellar).

I consider a ghost, if they exist, to be like data and data needs a medium to exist in. ElectroMagnetic field is perfect for it, it is global all around. There are places with high concentrations of this field which would make it possible to retain any sort of data whether an event or an actual spirit essence of some sort. I believe some places would be sacred like with burial grounds or where people would likely congegrate. The emf idea isnt bad, I think its possible, just dont know how one could prove it. This could be something like what claimed clairvoyants would be picking up.
