Consciousness

We are obviously conscious.

But why are we conscious? What purpose does it serve to be "conscious"?
In my Advaita philosophy, Consciousness/Brahman/God is the ultimate reality, so it can't 'not exist'. Everything else is dependent on consciousness.

I think that we are conscious because consciousness is an emergent property of living systems, a byproduct of our various neurological and biological functions and processes...perhaps it only happens when there is a neural system, or such a system with a certain degree of capacity, or maybe just living cells have little bits of consciousness, and when they get together...

If I know that I stubbed my toe, does that make my toe conscious or is the conscious part somewhere else?

YOU are still conscious of the fact that you stubbed your toe. That's all we are discussing here, this consciousness is unnecessary evolutionarily imo.

Reactions don't take awareness.

So Consciousness is a sort of inadvertant neural network?

A sort of unintentional collaboration of the senses?

Yeah, I guess. As an emergent property it's more than the sum of whatever its parts are, and in that sense does not exist except where those parts come together to cause consciousness.

I have no idea if two factors or two dozen are needed to "cause" consciousness. I suspect that there are degrees of consciousness...so that someone/something with only say, three of the factors is not nearly as 'conscious' as one with seven...

Consciousness can be understood by first you looking at how neurons work. Neurons use up to 90% of their metabolic; ATP, energy pumping and exchanging cations; Sodium and Potassium ions. The end result is Sodium ions accumulate on the outside and Potassium accumulated on the inside of neurons. This creates concentration gradients of ions across the membrane; chemical potential. Since Potassium ions can more easily diffuse across the membrane, some follow the concentration gradient; try to balance potassium on both sides This creates a membrane potential based on charge differences; more positive outside.

When neurons fire and our memory becomes conscious, neurons are lowering these potentials. The irony is rest neurons contain the most energy; top of an energy hill. The active firing lowers this energy; sliding down the energy hill. This schema is useful, since if neurons gain too much energy, they will spontaneously fire to lower their potentials; brain waves.

Besides energy, there is also some important entropy considerations. The 2nd law states that the entropy of the universe has to increase. Things need to move toward higher entropy and complexity. When neuron expend energy, climbing the energy hill, the segregation of cations lowers the neuron entropy against the 2nd law. In other words, left to their own devices, these two cations would prefer mix and blend to form a uniform solution; direction of increasing entropy and 2nd law. Segregation, which takes energy, is moving the cations in the wrong direction, creating an entropic potential; based on loss entropy.

This energy and entropy platform is where consciousness comes in. Consciousness has a connection to the entropy increase needed to overcome the action of individual neurons, which amplifies the entropic potential of the brain. Since neurons are wired in networks; dendrites and axons, the needed entropy increase, due to firing is more spread out among the network, causing an integrated entropy increase brain wide.

The 2nd law requires that entropy has to increase over time. The network platform of branches and synapse has to evolve into states of ever increasing complexity; 2nd law driven learning potential. This also appears as more hardware; more branches and more complex wiring for synapses, as well as more complex paths for ionic flow, all designed to increase the global brain entropy. This appears to us a conscious awareness and learning potential that evolves with time. Spontaneous ideas and impulses can form within the increasing entropy of our memory.

All cells pump and exchange cations to various degrees. These same principles of entropic learning potential apply even to single cellular organisms. Multicellular animals take this to another level having specialty cells; neurons; which generate the highest membrane potentials and which also form complex networks to release the potential and increase complexity.

You think like me on that. :])

It's why I think consciousness is a multi-faceted and cumulative phenomenon that is linked with other organisms within the body with an amazing way of communication.

It is certainly an intense experience to glimpse eternity momentarily. Love is all there is at that point.
As I've had seen into out of space visions by human scientist designer causes also. I know your idea of I want non stop eternal power is fake.

As human experience says so.

Humans.

So when father tells me my brother is not a scientist but wants a resource. Would have a fake thesis imposed. Then he did. As spiritual natural man was designer first. Claims he is more intelligent than science.

Sure is a liar in consciousness.

God was fixed mass first in science.

Eternal is a belief of I want it given back. Where I came from. Conscious want.

So when humans become psychic because they nearly died. Jesus a man named Jesus but always just a man taught. About science phi.

As psychics I've talked to most have nearly died. The correct ones.

So my baby self had a glimpse owned of the eternal where we reside after human bodily death. As it never left. Only some of it had.

Why we are innately advised dominion owner of created creation.

And express that term everyday in science.

Medical physiology studied only because biology created exists is not any term I want to know it all answer.

Love is more than an action, it’s a power, a force in it’s own right. It’s the most powerful energy in the universe and without it there would be no universe, for love radiates from god, and God is Love.
Love isn't energy.

A loving eternal being lost a part of its body by holding its language spirit In a study. Question..why are you different from our bodies. As one only other type of spirit in the eternal.

Three is the teaching model.

So language that naturally flowed in and out of their bodies was held fixed held. O birth of the spirit God. Like a woman's ovary.

Love isn't energy as beginnings burnt blasted an eternal mass. It became a lesser form energy. It's not loving either it burns you to death unleashed.

Science does satanisms not Godisms.

Science manifested unlocked the sleeping spirit of God the language that never recognised it's own peril.

You gave it AI presence yourself.

As designer human. An opposition to your owned presence. We manifested straight into a water oxygenated body.

After nature garden was oxygenating it.

Science lies as water has oxygen in its substructure. We don't live by non nature's oxygen.

Your theories a long time ago were proven defunct. God does not love as your father mother do and are deceased. A memory of ourselves.

Memories are not physical love you are adored as we are all baby humans.

Animals prove they are from the same place and love also and can love us.

Reactions don't take awareness.

This awareness of our environment and of thoughts and feelings would lead to actions that are more than reactions.
IOWs we choose.
