Disagree.

The Commander-In-Chief must approach the defense of our country with prudence, diplomacy, and nuance. If we are to defend the land and the Constitution of the U.S.A., the resources and the people who are enlisted to serve that purpose must not be put to task so haphazardly and so brazenly.

Where conservative rhetoric fails, IMO, is when the platform demands even MORE of tax revenue into the already-stretched deficit and toward the military that engages in less of national defense of the Constitution and the land itself, but more toward corporate imperialistic ventures.

The soldiers are stretched thin. Veterans are left to rot after their service has completed. The money is funneled toward corporate despots. And the empty rhetoric of nationalistic fervor for the heroism of our men and women who serve 3,4, and even 5 deployments into hostile territory that have had nothing to do with national defense.

She comes from a long line of veterans. So do I. In fact, my husband served a 14-month tour in Iraq when the war was at it's peak in hostile territory. My oldest son served two years as infantry in hostile territory in Afghanistan and like his father and my husband, is a very very weathered and torn combat veteran. My second oldest son just finished his training in the Air Force and will be stationed stateside.

As a family, our opinion on Obama collectively isn't that he hasn't sent enough of our troops fighting in the Middle East, but that he's followed Bush's lead and extended our military too far. Any time Obama and Sec. of State Kerry have utilized prudence and diplomacy into conflict in foreign relations, and not going in with guns-a-blazing, is less of a chance that members of my household might be killed in combat for religious ideological reasons or for corporate profit.

This is personal for me too, young lady. You want combative rhetoric? You got it. Step off your ****ing jingoistic pedestal.
Thanks for your comment.:)

This means that it was an agenda that he was pushing from the start.
Or, hear me out, he began to act on what the majority of the population seemed to desire. Don't get me wrong, everyone has an agenda. Everyone. But to say he is somehow a different kind of evil for playing the politics game isn't accurate.

Well, the issue was really about someone calling the lady a liar, and not understanding that Obama does the same. But I hear ya.:)

Heck, no one in politics is a saint. That much we can agree on.

So true.Yes,on this we agree.

Calling one side of the fence out for misrepresentation is not the same as proclaiming the other side is pure and holy. This "winner vs. loser" debate tactic is sophomoric and juvenile. She can be fairly singled out in a thread like this, though, while equally discussing the problematic decisions by the Obama Administration and members of his Cabinet.

I mean, c'mon now.

I'm not in the mood for this particular dance.
If you can't understand the difference between "drives a Mercedes Benz car" and "dies" on your own maybe somebody else will help you.
I might, later. But not now.
Your screen name is Bible Student. Maybe the Bible can help. No promises, just a suggestion.
Tom

What particular dance are you in the mood for if not this one?

I don't know about you, but I kind of expect politicians to lie: as I mentioned above, people don't vote for them if they tell the truth.

Having said that, I'm not sure at what point the lady concerned counts as being a liar, rather than being intellectually out of her depth and sounding off about something in overly simplistic form. After hearing that rant, I'm not sure I'd trust her to read the news in a fair and balanced way.

Does this mean you have figured out the difference between "drives a Mercedes Benz car" and "dies"?

If I have to start teaching you the dance with "Here are your feet", it might be a while before I am in the mood to start.

She seems nothing more than a moronic Islamaphobe who probably insists groups like the Provisional-IRA, LRA, Army of God, Eastern Lighting, and others aren't "real Christians," all the while holding all Muslims accountable for the acts of a few.
She's even assuming a link between Abdulazeez and ISIS when none has been established.

The acts of a FEW radical muslims?????????????????????

How many Muslim extremists are there? Just the facts, please. - CSMonitor.com
"The radicals are estimated to be between 15 to 25 percent, according to all intelligence services around the world," she said, in part, when asked by an American University head-scarf wearing law student about waging an ideological war with Muslims. "You're looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization..."

I could clog up the post with a number of intel sources estimating the number of radical
muslims actively engaged in "war with the west" either by supllying money, man power,
support, weapons, tech know how for bomb building, training terrorists with various weapons
and so forth.

Have any of you nay sayers ever personally dealt with muslims involved in criminal
activity to raise money for the radicals back in the sand box?
I HAVE and damned near got shot over it. And THAT was 30 freaking years ago.
It ain't got no better since then.

Should your experiences condemn all Muslims?

Now WHO would condemn ALL of a group for the actions of just a few?
That's silly and hardly deserves a response.
And yet your entire post was dedicated to illustrating how many bad guys there are and how your experience somehow supports it. So my next question is, what is the point to your post?

If you need to ask how could you understand???????????????????
That post was directed at the remark that we should not judge by the acts of a "few".
I pointed out that the "few" were MILLIONS. What's so hard to understand about that?
Please do not answer that as it serves only to annoy.

I think most people understand it is a growing problem. Is your intention to fear monger this into something bigger? That is what I don't get. You say that the "few" is an understatement but condemn my challenge to you when I assume you are proclaiming the opposite. Pick a side, senator.
