Couldn't design it if you tried

I believe God exists and that he/she/it created the universe and guided evolution. In my latest thread I propose a way this could occur. (But I hadn't thought of it at the time I created the current thread.)

WHY do you believe such things? Make things up and then believe them?
Sheesh!

Why do you want to limit the omnipotence of your "creator"? You dont hink
he is up to the task of making the fundamental particles and principles in
such a way that evolution takes care of itself? You've got him like the
designer of a British sports car that requires constant tinkering to keep it going.

Ah yes, the limits of omnipotence.
and there is a limit....

you can't allow yourself to break the rules of reality if you want your creation to hold true

if you ever gain the power of mind over matter.....your level of discipline must be sure

Yoda?

You must inform dfnj of this limit on the limitless

Not really. "Limits to reality" is an unknown,
and "god" has all the characteristics of the nonexistet.
What I always thought obvious is that it all
make-believe.
cause and effect...
Creator and creation

tweaking a few molecules for evolution is one thing

shifting the properties of an element is something else

no stone to bread

You really imagine some serious limits to omni!

People btw have fair to middling success at transmutation,
bjt you figure the master of the unjverse can't do it?

Thief

" It is your opinion."

People can do transmutation, but god cant.

That is too weird.

People have been selective breeding (changing DNA of) plants and animals for thousands of years, haven't they?

but you cannot make one hair of your head white or black
you cannot add one cubit to your height

You mean stuff like manna falling from the sky, water turning into wine, or walking on water?
science has attempted to explain miralces
some of that discussion sounds plausible

but the Will must be behind it
or the event would not stand out

and yeah.....if ever I see a Man walk on water
I would follow Him
I would not let Him out of my sight
I would hardly dare to sleep
