Covid-19 vaccine. They need to make it easier for people to get it.

Now that the vaccines are set that anyone can receive them in my opinion they should set up and offer vaccines on a first come first served bases. Let the public know there will be 1500 vaccinations available on a certain day, time and place then vaccinate the first 1500 that show up. And repeat the next day and so on.

Since there are two injections required for most of them, spaced some time apart, I am sure part of what they are looking to do is weed out anyone who might not care enough to show up for the second shot. If you literally have to take steps to secure your position "in line," I would think it then becomes a much higher likelihood that you are going to follow through and not waste product.

That's how it was done in our part of Mexico - first come, first served. We stood in line for 7.5 hours. We bought collapsible chairs in anticipation of the follow-up shot.

That's why they schedule appts ahead of time. To prevent overcrowding in a pandemic. When I went in, there was ample distancing between everyone, and everything moved through like a well-oiled machine on an assembly line. Good planning and organization is the key to that happening.

In UK, once you are eligible for your vaccine, you can apply on-line or ring up your GP( local doctor) and arrange it through them.

I think eventually there will be walk-up injections. When the supply is limited, appointments prevent running out in one place and over supply in another.

It couldn't be easier here in Southern California. Not only is it easy to get the shot but we have our choice as to which vaccine we can get:

I was scheduled to get the j&j vaccine tonight, but when I found out that there was some sort of a Federal halt to using the vaccine I tried calling up the facility to ask if we were still on for tonight.

I couldn't get through, so I just canceled my appointment and scheduled with another facility to get the Pfizer shot tomorrow.

Anyway I'd rather prefer to avoid the vaccine, since I don't like experiments with Human beings (Mengele would be proud of what's happening now), but thanks to the majority of sheeple I probably won't have other choice in the future; since nobody will be able to even enter a cinema without a vaccination certificate or "green passport" (it's happening in Israel right now).

I'd rather wish the Government would give vitamin D to all and implement a plan to improve our immune system. But unfortunately Governments have become our enemies.

I can't speak for others, but it's not hard to get it where I live. I was offered it at work when the pharmacy had leftover doses at the end of the day, but declined.

Sitting afar as I do, we commonly offer opinions on American politics, etc. You guys impact on us all, and we are all therefore somewhat invested.
On this (vaccine rollout) you appear to be doing an amazingly good job taking into account some of the infrastructure issues you have in terms of healthcare, etc.
We (Australia) are subjectively better placed to rollout a vaccine for a variety of reasons (more centralised population centres, a strong network of general practitioners, bulk billing structures, etc) and yet we are doing a comparatively poor job on this.

My opinion is not worth much, I realise, but just wanted to reiterate that you seem to be doing okay to me.
