Covid news (Breaking from Denmark)

Just been announced that the covid virus have mutated in minks here in Denmark and have been transferred back to humans again. Tests show that this new mutated virus have a reduced effect on the immunity against the virus. So now they have announced that all minks in Denmark are to be killed.

That is not good news :(

Its even worse, because it can apparently screw up a potential vaccine to the current one.

forget hunger games...looks like extermination games will be the script...... how luverly.

Well they have inform WHO, EU etc. So I think they will try to isolate it, and maybe close off that part of the country from the rest, but not sure. I wouldn't be surprised, if all travel to and from Denmark is going to be closed now. At least that would be clever I think, if this spread to the rest of the world, it could be really really bad :(

Then the source is incorrect, it is all minks!!

They fear that if this mutated virus get out, in worse case scenario, we have almost a new pandemic on hands, and they are not taking any chances.

in a world where protecting species from extinction has been paramount for as long as I can recall, people would stop others from doing commercial endeavors because it would harm a species even as minor in the web as a specific toad or owl species..... now a whole species will be chucked in the proverbial shredder...... well how do they propose to wipe them all out...what is their final solution for these minks?
[just thinking about mongoose, cane toads, kangaroos and other examples where the efforts to eradicate have failed]

Yeah, those working with these farms are devastated, its their lifework they are being told to eradicate as fast as possible. That must be extremely rough to be honest.

SAVE THE MINKS! They shouldn't kill them, they should take them and try to keep them alive. Poor Minks!

so much for the diversity of the web of life...... the bio-dome taught people about the cascade effect, when a whole species goes down, it has a ripple effect which builds and then tips, and then doom for the people who mismanaged their space-ship earth's environmental controls......
