Curious Lokean Here With A Few Questions

Can you guys tell me what Luciferianism is about?

I just met a girl who is primarily a Luciferian but also works with Loki. She hasn't answered my questions...

Like...do you worship or work with Lucifer? Or is it more a philosophy?

Supposedly, Loki is ranked with Prometheus and Lucifer to some Luciferians: all punished bearers of wisdom.

Depending on the individual, Luciferianism can be an intellectual pursuit "though the heavens may fall" or it could be enlightened Satanism, or even a form of Gnosticism where Lucifer is the One True God. Or more than one.

"Lucifer" is more of an idea, like light-bearer, bright morning star, day star, shinning one, bringer of morning, etc. These all share common symbolic meanings, which is the concept of being a bringer of light or bearer of light. Light tends to be symbolic for knowledge, enlightenment, gnosis, things of that nature. We all tend to vary in how we interpret it. Other common traits "lucifers" show is a constant quest to attain some impossible goal and be responsible for spreading knowledge. Jesus came to mystical truth and tried to spread it, Buddha was seeking nirvana, the king of Babylon wished to build a tower that reached heaven, the serpent in the garden introduced Adam and Eve to knowledge itself, Thoth was the God of knowledge and balance, the list goes on and on for figures a Luciferian can choose from. But, another common theme is obviously "perfection" / "divinity", something all these examples are tied to in some way.

In short, it is more of a life path / philosophy. It should also be noted that Luciferians and a Satanists are two very distinct groups, though the philosophies are not mutually exclusive by any means.

Self guidance to wisdom.

Magically different, philosophically similar.

More of a philosophy, an actual Lucifer being is applicable but not entirely enriched, he'd be more of a guardian angel not a god.

Nothing really. Lucifer symbolizes light, whatever meaning you draw upon it is your own.

I did have a question though, how does on work with Loki?

Everything tends to be a bit more philosophical with me. There isn't anything specifically that I worship, but doing workings is a different scene.

Though if you want any real insight I would suggest asking a bit more in depth questions, you won't get very far with this format of yours.

I do not worship or work with lucifer. I am a lucifer. I am lucifer.

Loki's all about being honest. Being honest with Him, with others, but most importantly with yourself. He doesn't take **** and if you ask Him to come into your life, say you want something with Him, if He says yes, your life will change drastically. He's painfully honest and can be a bit brutal.

He's also the most loving God/being I've ever known. If He takes you on, He loves you and He won't stop loving you. He'll love you even when you don't love yourself, and help you learn self-love.

He's also a bit of a jokester (though, the term 'trickster' which is so often applied to him, is wrong). He doesn't take things too seriously, with the exception of promises to Him and honesty.

A lot of Lokeans get flak from a few groups because of our belief in Him. Our reaction? To laugh at the hate. To poke fun at the hateful nonsense and sometimes to the point of tears. Once, on a popular site, someone had tagged a post about how "LOKEANS RUIN EVERYTHING". Our reaction? To create a blog about how we burn toast, or break dishes or dye the bathtub red while trying to dye hair.

Working with Him is teaching me to laugh more, to be passionate, to love myself and to be honest with myself.

I'm reminded of how he got quite a few people killed by gypping them out of arranged rewards, such as the jotun building Asgard and Loki's Wager...to call those jokes is more than a bit insensitive.

Dude. To save **** that Odin'd screwed up, He had to turn into a mare and get ****** by the giant's stallion. And he got knocked up too.

And Odin and the other Gods treated Him like **** from day one.

Touchy touchy. Actually they treated him pretty well until he became "scar-lipped". They mocked him for it, he got *****, and then next thing you know, dead Baldr.

Hah. Actually, Odin TOLD Him to kill Baldr.

T'was the only way Baldr could come back after Ragnarok. If he'd been alive, he'd have died at Ragnarok and not come back.

Genius, except Odin wept over the body, had Hodr killed out of spite, and had Loki chained to a rock with poison ever-flowing onto him. So, try again.
