education here, as is the case where my daughter
works managing recruitment programs for high
tech information & analysis services. But they also
hire many highly educated Ameristanians.

at a US university. He tells me that foreign students are
increasingly badly prepared in the basics, eg, math,
& require much remedial training.

The US likes to go to war with the rest of the world and that is pretty current.

Currently, Europe is at war, so that barb is mighty weak.

its neighbors, currently Russia. US involvement in that
war is to prevent Russia from over-running more of
Europe, which is a weak association that can't defend

Methinks that without any experience in USA education
& business, you're judging performance of the top tier
professionals by the many miserable public schools.
So unprepared students abound, but they're not the

Yes, this is what I have also read. The concepts will be taught in more appropriate or advanced classes.

The theory of evolution is not at odds with Hinduism which states of astronomical figures like billion year old kalpas or cycles and is not confined to a mere 6000 year time span as the Abrahamics. Modern Hindu saints like Vivekananda and Aurobindo had talked favorably of evolution and said it is in tune with Hindu philosophies.

Losing one year of evolution should not matter if it is real science. Propaganda cannot tolerate any breaks in the conditioning. Relax if you have truth on your side. Truth will stick. Lies will atrophy.

Removing chapters on democracy, diversity and political parties is good. These wolves in sheep's clothing can be misused. In America, one political party controls the public schools and we now have one party indoctrination and revisionist history.

It harder to have democracy; freedom for all, when you are taught to push your own diversity agenda in a zero sum game, that Lefty has to win. We should be teaching common ground; MIGA or Make India Great Again.

The periodic table cannot be treated properly with one chapter; one week. The problem may be the smart chemistry students will get overly simplified misinformation, to be more inclusive to those who could care less about chemistry. Inclusion and equity can damage smart kids if the dumbing down is used to increase average test scores. Also, Lefty politicalizing may teach each element as being good or bad depending on who discovered it. CO2 is evil even if carbon and oxygen are good.

The Industrial Revolution was more about the rise of the West. The East was a place for the West to find cheap labor, moving people out of the country, to the overcrowded cities.

No, they really, actually aren't that big into education, especially the Evangelical Christians among them. That group especially is distrustful of education (and have been for a long time), places very little value of skills trade or college, and is prone to believing the only things worth knowing come from the Bible (and even then, American Church History has examples of pastors who couldn't read and never read the Bible).

Over here (in Australia) they already learn it in 6th through to 8th grades.

But what proportion of hindus do Vivekananda and Aurobindo represent the scientific beliefs of? I understand Hinduism to be diverse rather than homogeneous, so is it reasonable to expect different hindus will have different beliefs about evolution? My wife is Hindu and she seems to believe God "made" everything.
