Dark room or let the sun in

We Never Know

No Slack
In the morning as soon as it gets light we open the curtains and let the light in. I've been to several people's house's that keep their curtains/shades closed all day. To me that is a depressive environment.

Do you let the light in or keep it closed out?

I try to let all the light in. But, I live in a shady neighborhood in a house that was set up to take advantage of the shade; getting enough light in just to see to get stuff done without turning on the lights can be problematic. We had a glass door put in the dining room, and that helped some(its a 4 square style house).

I let the light in but close them on an evening so I can put lamps and fairy lights on, to create a nice reading atmosphere.

I also live on a main road and every single vehicle with sirens goes down it because the 3 major emergency departments are basically on the same street.

I let the light in, but I make sure to keep the fly screen on because flies used to find their way into my room and make me question my life choices.

I keep mine closed because I don't want to advertise to everyone who walks past my window that I have a 75" tv, a Playstation 5, a nice computer and all the other various things that someone of a lesser moral standing might want to have for themselves. Plus, the only view I have is of the parking lot behind my apartment building. When I want to see nature, I just go outdoors

I always open the shades, sometimes I shout "Let there be light" as I do it, then I realize my neighbors overheard me because my window was open.

It's unfortunate that these are things you have to worry about. I'm grateful to have old people neighbors.

Not a problem for me. There's nothing worth taking in my place.
