I don't hate it - it's just ever so shop worn. And that was my point.

It's only "shop worn" because it works so well. I mean, "Do unto others as you'd have done unto you" is shop worn, too, but it works.

Individual atheists make sense to me. Organised atheists seem to me to be open to all the negative aspects of groups that are often objectionable in religions.
But is there a need for such organizations? I'd say there is... even if you find them distasteful.

Anyhow, if you're going to go after inappropriate organizations, I'd say you should start with the anarchist groups. :D
