Then, you poor creature, you're just corrupted by the crap that is 00s popular culture. Also, Friends was a good show. How I Met Your Mother is just Friends with new friends (it is a little bit better too).

Also, i'll echo Father Heathen's statement that Cherry Pie is 80s in spirit. There's a rule (which I have established, let it be known) that the first 3 years of a decade are more like the previous decade. As far as culture and change, it doesn't happen right at the 0 year, it usually happens on the 3s. This is based on my highly-educated research

The years 2000-2002 were basically still the 90s but with some new stuff. I still confuse things that happened during those years with things that happened during the 90s.

I love the 90s. That combined with the fact that I had a great childhood has turned the 90s into some dreamy, Promised Land that was heaven on earth for me

EDIT: Also, you can't have a signature with lyrics from a song from '93 and then bash the 90s

Staley had a much better voice than Cobain IMO but not as famous unfortunately.

Yeah, I had my Nirvana phase and really liked Nirvana, but Layne was definitely a better singer that Kurt.

I think that Nirvana would have become more musically refined if he hadn't died, though. It would have been interesting to see.

This is what you had for TV?

You poor people. How did you take all that suffering? Was TV some sort of endurance test back then?

If you don't like 90s TV, you should see the crap that was on in the 80s.

And 90s TV wasn't all bad. There were plenty of good shows:

- the X Files
- Picket Fences
- Law and Order (back when it was still awesome)
- the Simpsons (again - back when it was still awesome)
- Northern Exposure
- South Park
- the original Family Guy
- In Living Color
- Ren & Stimpy

Ok, we might suck at music nowadays, but at least we don't suck like this:

I would argue that the 90s culturally/residually didn't really end until about 2004 or 2005, when internet, PC, cell phones, organic foods, among other things really took off.

That list makes me feel kinda old. I was three when the Simpsons debuted, seven when the x-files debuted, and 10 when South Park hit the air. The X Files is one of my favorite shows, as is South Park, but the reality that I was just a little kid when it started makes me feel old.:sad4: Simpsons especially because it hails from the very end of the 80's.

I was in university when South Park started. I remember how the Spirit of Christmas was the first viral video I ever encountered (though no YouTube then - it was all by file swapping from friend to friend). We started hearing rumours that the Spirit of Christmas was being turned into a TV series... and then it was. :D

Edit: but now we do have YouTube!
