Debate on Abortion.

If an abortion is done early enough in the pregnancy, the embryo doesn't "suffer" at all. It feels nothing. It can't. The only person(s) who suffer from a terminated pregnancy are the parents. The mother has had to go through all kinds of emotional and psychological trauma just to get to said decision, and likely her partner as well. It is rarely a decision taken lightly and the parents have to deal with the internal consequences of that decision for the rest of their lives.

Another thing, there really is no such thing as "pro-abortionist". I can't think of anybody that is outright advocating FOR abortions to happen. No one is out there pushing women to have abortions. Furthermore, "pro-life" is also a misnomer. It implies that the "other side" are "pro-death" and that simply isn't so. The two political sides are "anti-choice and pro-choice". What you seem to fail to realize that is that it is entirely possible for a person to be "anti-abortion" and "pro-choice" at the same time. Pro-choicers are not heartless baby-killers as you seem to think. We just don't believe it is our place to tell a woman how she must deal with her pregnancy, no matter what we may personally feel. And let's face it, abortion is a personal issue.

Well that’s your own terrible little world-view. On what do you base such a worldview? What motivates you to think as such would be what I’m interested to know, could it be because you think we are all animals and that there is no higher purpose? A human being is just an expendable part of populace?
Funny stuff.

You also go on rambling against emotions etc, are you psycopatic?

Why is my worldview so terrible? That's a ridiculous claim to say that everyone that doesn't believe exactly what you believe is terrible, no? So much for being tolerant and accepting.

As far as us being animals, we are. I'm sorry that you feel the need to make things more fantastical than they are, but when you break it down - humans are still animals and they are just as much expendable as anything else. Why else do you think we die?

Emotions are feelings that cloud rational behavior and judgement. Someone who bases their actions purely on emotions are definitely more psychopathic (which is what I assume you meant to say) than I.

Pro-life isn't a misnomer. The two sides are pro-choice and pro-life because pro-choicers value the woman's choice and freedom to choose above life. While pro-lifers believe that the life of the fetus should take priority above the woman's choice.

Actually I am not so much pro-choice as I am pro-option in the sense that I do not think that women should be able to abort for just any reason. I think that the option should be available for very serious situations. At the moment anybody can get an abortion for any reason.

A human being is just an expendable part of populace?

Well we know one thing for sure..they can be "unwanted" or undesired before they are ever concieved because we take EXTREME measures to prevent a "human being " from ever being created in the first place through many methods.Including having yoru self steralized by surgically having your tubes tied(for a woman) or your tubes leading from your sperm producing gland to the outside of your body cut in half so sperm cant reach ovumn.(for a man).

People who do something like that must absolutley despise even the very THOUGHT of having an innocent human being in the first place.

Done here.
I believe that abortion is immoral. On a secular AND on a religious level.
Who cares? What you need, if you want to prohibit abortion, is to make a case for the necessity of your having the right to force women to carry pregnancies to term against their will.

No one forces a woman to bear a child because no one forces a woman to get pregnant.
So what? There are plenty of medical options to avoid carrying a pregnancy to term, and you're saying that a woman may not avail herself of them. That's force. You may think it's justified force, but it's force all the same.

What a lovely world you must live in, where rape is unheard of and birth control freely available!

Especially birth control (aside from abstinence) that is 100% effective! Wow, I'd like some of that...

I have had a child aborted without being consulted. This was an exceptionally emotional and scarring moment in my life. Her father made her have it ( he's now on my to kill list)

But I have to say I'm pro choice. Looking back now I can say it was the right choice for us. I will never forgive myself for being part of her pain but I know she has a loving family to help her through it. I didn't.

I would say that there needs to be more counselling services for both mother and father if they do decide to fo ahead with the termination.
