Debate on Abortion.

Well, I guess not all of us can control our urges.

We're animals, animals have sex, get over it!

You still didn't respond to most of my comments, which doesn't surprise me, but the one actual question I would like an answer to is:

If your god told you to have an abortion, would you?

Who cares? What you need, if you want to prohibit abortion, is to make a case for the necessity of your having the right to force women to carry pregnancies to term against their will.

I agree..

And make a case that he (after forcing her to carry and deliver) that he will feed clothe and nurture the child. So he himself needs to be able to justify how Im supposed to carry a child for 40 weeks..risk injury..to myself AND the child just gestating and delivering...and then how he plans to support the child in a manner that the "human being' deserves".

NOT to mention WHILE Im gestating the baby ..how he plans to force me (and pay for it himself) to take medications I may need for the baibes health..how to eat right for the baby and abstain from any bad habits.(because its all abotu the zygote or the embryo)

So here we go..FORCE the woman to have a "baby" (because she had sex) ..hold her captive and tell her what she can eat and drink.Untill the "baby" is born. Then "take the baby" and keep it for your self.

Hey by the way what are you going to tell my other children?

Im sure you have a great explantation for that.

You for sure are all about "non suffering".

I have had a child aborted without being consulted. This was an exceptionally emotional and scarring moment in my life. Her father made her have it ( he's now on my to kill list)

But I have to say I'm pro choice. Looking back now I can say it was the right choice for us. I will never forgive myself for being part of her pain but I know she has a loving family to help her through it. I didn't.

I would say that there needs to be more counselling services for both mother and father if they do decide to fo ahead with the termination.

If it were the confirmed word of God I sure would.

If God one day decides that white is black then it must be so.
He has absolute right over his own creation.

Done here.
Well, I guess not all of us can control our urges.
You could learn, though. With time and self-discipline you might learn to resist the urge to make sanctimonious, self-righteous judgments about everybody who disagrees with you. You might even learn to resist the urge to try to force everybody to conform to your half-thought-out religious opinions. It's not easy, and it will take hard work on your part. But you could probably learn.

So, you have no moral fiber, good to know. Kinda undercuts your attempts to moralize, though.

Tell me, on what basis do you hold this naturalistic view?

So, then wouldn't you like the ability to have this abortion free of judgement from others and in a safe, medical environment?

If we grant that God is the creator he has absolute autority. The fact that you dont like that wont change the slightest thing.

What I like or don't is totally irrelevant to the fact that you just abandoned all pretense of morality.

The point here is that what you previously deemed immoral (aka an abortion) is now exempt because you said so. Either it is immoral to have an abortion or it isn't. IF you have an abortion, even if your god told you to, it would still be immoral by your initial standards.

On the basis that I can observe and test nature to the degree of understanding, or a degree of high certainty to understand.

But how about the supernatural, (the naturalistic view is that their is nothing beyong the physical world),

What reasons have you to deny the supernatural?

Wrong. God is the decider here. Its all dishonest wordplay on your part. He created these moral codes and if he so changes them then they will change.

I think some of the problem here is your misunderstanding of what God is all about.

What possible basis would anybody have for granting that any god -- much less your particular god -- is the Creator?

It seems you don't have any morality at all. You're unable to articulate a single moral argument. You just have a superstition that you want to impose on everybody else.
