Deism - Books + Forums ?

Hi, thought i'd liven up the Deism forum section a bit by a new thread. I am nearing the end of "Thomas Paine - The Age Of Reason" and have found it very interesting and was wondering could anyone recommend any other good texts of a similar type?

I'm also looking for an active Deist forum. I have seen a few but not many that are regularly posted on.

Thanks for any replies.

Slappin' that funky bass!
Thomas Paine's essays on the Bible and on religious practice are always worth a read if you've read or are reading The Age of Reason. They're available on the World Union of Deists website and also in a book form, 'The Complete Works of Thomas Paine'.

Also worth a read is Elihu Palmer's Principles of Nature. Harder to read than TAoR but well worth sitting down to. It's available on the World Union of Deists website and also (the last time I checked) on the Project Gutenberg website.

Honestly, just go out and read everything you can get your hands on. Fiction, the sciences, art, history, psychology ... the more you digest about the world, and the more you learn about human beings, the stronger your understanding of what it is you actually believe will be!
