I didn't say no privatization. I said no privatization of essential services. Things like police, healthcare, education, prisons, etc. People thrive better when capital focuses on luxury serviceWhat you just said there sounds like communism. You called it a MIX, but after the description i didnt see no mix. No privitization? Thats also what communism is for.
What we have currently is a lot of oligarchic near monopolies which create an illusion of freedom, but the reality is you have no more choice now because those wealth leaders (your rulers from behind the curtain) simply have no reason to be transparent or have actual competition due to cronyism.Whats wrong with people being free? Why dont most on here see this?
I can't speak for anybody else but I am always and will always be anti totalitarian. It's part of why I'm not religious. I don't trust literally anyone or anything that says they should be followed or submitted to without question.I bet all the people within those past societies NEVER thought they would turn horrible, but then it did and they were in shock.
Once again, places with much more leftward leaning governments are doing better than we are. What exactly isn't working?Thats fine, but again, government doing this wont work. Government creating incentives only works through government LEAVING PEOPLE ALONE.
These other countries which are much more educated don't do so through private schools. They just also don't let private schools suck away the money from public schools.I believe the school system and college should be all privatized. That way the education system competes and that makes for better edducation curriculums. It also makes prices low since there compitition.
Because it is both moral and inevitable.Ok, so if you know communisms history is one of death, why do you choose to be a communist?
And how many of those countries keep telling the socialist Democrats to stop calling them Socialist as they embrace market economies ideologies.Or Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, New Zealand, etc.

Germany is a hybrid of capitalism and socialism.
Communisms history is one of death. I just assumed you knew already. But, ok, here

You can have France. They're pretty weird to begin with. ;0}
35 hours a week
35 hours a week? I'd be lucky to get 50 hours.
I only work 30 hours a week but it's backbreaking physical labor with a 50% washout rate by year 5 (PT and medical massage). So adding more hours is just courting burnout or injury.35 hours a week? I'd be lucky to get 50 hours.
You make some good points. All of this is saying in its essence, government control. No liberty.
And they wear yellow vests. Right?Yeah, very weird. They only work 35 hours a week and have 30 days paid leave a year. How weird is that??? And yet they are constantly in the top 10% of productive countries.

Just depends on the industry.
And the left are huge proponents of the big government nanny state, forced redistribution of wealth, retching control from Individual decisions and choices over to government decisions on how people should live, what they can eat and drink and smoke, and how they should raise their families, taking legal products and services and making them illegal while controlling means of production through forced dictates. Just for startersThat has zero to do with my point. The extremist right wing keeps using the word communist to try to smear Democrats. But of course that's what I expect from extremist right wingers.
And that applies to the word "socialist" as well. The extremist right wing keeps trying to smear Democrats with the socialist label and totally lies about the relationship of Democratic ideas with Venezuela.
The far right tries to take the vote away from Democrats by gerrymandering, closing voting places, kicking Democrats off the voting roles and other totalitarian measures designed to hold onto power by any and all means.
The extremist right is all about taking away personal freedom from Americans including having their vote counted equally with everyone else's vote and giving economic power to the super-wealthy.

New Zealand was pro socialist, yet gravitated towards free market economies. Smart move. It probably saved their ****s
How New Zealand saved itself from the failures of socialist government

Why do Americans find the concept of Social Democratic politics so difficult to understand?
In every other western country school children have absolutely no problem with the concept, yet for many Americans it's this devilishly perplexing conundrum that they are completely unable to grasp no matter how many times it's explained to them.
I think the ideal situation would be a balanced mix of social programs and free market capitalism without neither of them becoming dominant as a political ideology. A government with metaphorical 'safety valves on both ends' to prevent abuse from extremes.Well, a mixed economy is best, but we still need to keep up with these other countries. We sadly lag behind.

There are degrees of government control and government involvement.
I certainly don't want the large corporations, which only care about their short term profits, controlling everything.
If we abandoned all the regulations and government programs, half the population would soon die (I exaggerate).
Perhaps those promoting small government wouldn't mind that (except that some of *their* people might be among the victims).
