Yet another iteration that depression is a moral failing rather than a mental illness with actual (physical!) causes... implying that those depressed don't need treatment, they just need to suck it up. I'll pass on that attitude in favor of accuracy and compassion.


I don't know what it feels like to be depressed. Is it like despair?
For me, sin causes despair.

It feels like being depressed. It has nothing to do with sin; it has to do with mental illness. See the beginning part of my post.

Sorry if I appeared to be un-compassionate.

Depression is not easy to "remedy" - medication can help but resilience is a skill that can improve with practice in addition to whatever other assistance is sought.

Like I said - I was forced to become "resilient" the hard way!
