Describe your philosophy of life with a song

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
Bryan Steeksma! I was disappointed when AE used that song at the time I got sick of it :p

The children walk in line, never breaking rank, until they grow old
Behind the black curtain, madness becomes sanity

They turn your eyes away from the lies and deception and let their bodies be tossed around
Or else...

Smash it with your hands, trample it under your feet
Awaken your life
Carve out, carve out some proof that you were born in this world
If you want to find your true self and future
Then take the cold, the pain, the goodbyes and the tears

Bury your hunger in the false image of this city
Fill your dry mouth full of sand

Nobody knows when, where and by whom their prayers will be heard
Even so, someday...

Even if your eyes dry up
In the raging storm, the desolate earth
Search, search for the sun setting in the darkness
Don’t be tamed by fake love
Do not be afraid of the cold, the pain, the goodbyes and the tears

Without going out of my door
I can know all things of earth
With out looking out of my window
I could know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Without going out of my door
You can know all things of earth
With out looking out of my window
You could know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Arrive without traveling
See all without looking
Do all without doing

Always Look On The Bright Side of Life - Life Of Brian (Monty Python) Lyrics - YouTube

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of ****
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

Beat me to it,i also like this song sung as a round :

Voice 1: Hey, ho, nobody home;

Voice 1: Meat nor drink nor money have I none,
Voice 2 : Hey, ho, nobody home;
Voice 1: Yet will I be merry.
Voice 2: Meat nor drink nor money have I none,
Voice 3: Hey, ho, nobody home;
Voice 1: Hey, ho, nobody home;
Voice 2: Yet wiIll be merry.
Voice 3: Meat nor drink nor money have I none,

Vagabond
I'm a songwriter, so I wrote a song to sum it up myself.

I have been taken in sweet solitude
By the tender light that stirs the dust
To that sacred hollow that springs forth multitudes
The holy silence all things trust

I have stumbled through the wilderness
To know the taste of holy breath
To feel the ripple of formless tenderness
That knows dominion over death

There's a river on which I tumble
Deep and luminous with mystery
This boat is sturdy and sound if humble
And it will guide me safe to sea.

Jehovah our God is One
Times they are a changin' by Bod Dylan.

His song was relevant in the 60's and its still relevant now.

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see there is so much more
and beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going...

Can't brain. Has dumb.
I was going to post this song. It's an amazing song

Took me a long while to find a song to post - mostly because I have too much choice. However, I went with this one, because it spoke to me very early on. I used to listen to it over and over again when I was young, about the age of 9. I'd rewind the tape as soon as the song finished so I could hear it again. I'd listen to it before I went to sleep at night.

It still will get me teary-eyed on occasion.
