Did God Commit suicide?

There's an interesting short story called 'God's Debris' which supposes that the universe is made up of the splattered remains of god having killed himself and that god is slowly reforming with us as his awareness returning.

Wasn't that Scott Adams?

I recommend Asimov's "Last Question" even though it's not really the same. It reaches an interesting conclusion to conscious existence though.

I should read Adams speculation.

It's a thought experiment, not a religious movement, no one follows it (that I'm aware of).

Friends,
Agree with friend's Phasmid's point taken from *God's Debris*.
God is nothing but universal energy which is the total energy spread around in different forms and no forms and the whole game is to get back or merge with the source of that energy which happens only when someone gains super consciousness or achieves *nirvana*

No...God so loved the world (you and me) that he gave his only Son as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. God is alive and well for he raised his son to life.

If Jesus as God deliberately seeks after his own death, even if he has good reasons to do so, I will think he commits suicide.

Yep, Adams. I had to look on my book shelf I thought it sounded familiar. I haven't read it in a long time though.

One day as Manjusri stood outside the gate,
the Buddha called to him,
“Manjusri, Manjusri, why do you not enter?”
Manjusri replied,
“I do not see myself as outside. Why enter?”

..........

As for the OP, your question is extremely silly as Islam in its exoteric aspect, of which you are an adherant, only deals with the transcendant aspect of God (for the main) and thus has no real concept of the immenent form of God.....

Thus your question is like asking a dog to cook spaghetti, its beyond his understanding...

Did God commit suicide? this is just another thinly veiled poke at none muslims, please try to be more original if you are going to do this please.

Thank you

Did God commit suicide? Of course not, God is immortal....
