There's an interesting short story called 'God's Debris' which supposes that the universe is made up of the splattered remains of god having killed himself and that god is slowly reforming with us as his awareness returning.
Excuse me, but your ten-foot pole appears to be on fire. This is me.
This is my ten foot pole. :candle:

"...and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow..." [Al-Qur'an 4:157]
Seems to me that it is better to doubt than it is to accept fully that which is not correct."...and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow..." [Al-Qur'an 4:157]
No...God so loved the world (you and me) that he gave his only Son as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. God is alive and well for he raised his son to life.
Wasn't that Scott Adams?
I recommend Asimov's "Last Question" even though it's not really the same. It reaches an interesting conclusion to conscious existence though.
I should read Adams speculation.
Friends,
Agree with friend's Phasmid's point taken from *God's Debris*.
God is nothing but universal energy which is the total energy spread around in different forms and no forms and the whole game is to get back or merge with the source of that energy which happens only when someone gains super consciousness or achieves *nirvana*
