I think the whole perception argument completely destroyed your argument of posting pretty things and saying how can you not believe in god... If you dont think so maybe you should go back and read the people who have contributed to your thread and respond to them instead of continuing to post pictures and ignoring them.

I just think that would be polite.
I've read all the arguments that have been brought up, even your last article.

You really don't want to hear all my thoughts concerning all your arguments. Some things are better left unsaid until further review/study is done.

Don't worry I've read all that people post here. If I don't respond it means you have responded in a way that I have no answers or arguments.

I am speechless at times. You guys make me think, and that's what I'm here for, so I can better myself, and better respond in the future.

Posting something like this will make me silent for a while, while I cool off.

He actually did a great film just recently. I didn't realize he was a creationist. I can't remember the name of the film though. Maybe someone can remind me of the title. Someone on RF posted a link to his film.

I love art in the human form. There is no hiding that, but I also appreciate GREAT scenery, but it's not as affective when doing a thread like this.

The human form is more powerful when trying to get someone's attention.

I don't want this to be anything more than what it is, a way to get people to think of their origins.

Our origins are not microbial.

Completely disagree. You want people to see beauty? Then to use actual people and set definitions for human beauty is rude, presumptious, and superficial. Use of natural scenery would be much better as it is not judgemental or superficial.

And our origins are NOT "poofed" into existence.

You just don't get it do you? Man didn't make the stones I posted a pic of. Those were worn and grooved by slow moving ice. A glacier.

You know what FFH? You want to believe in the bible being literal? You believe that there was this great flood that covered the whole of the Earth and there was an old man named Noah that built a big ark and brought two of every species on it? Please explain what happened to the mammoths. What about the saber-toothed tigers? Do you actually contend that these species did not exist? They were alive during ice age times, but since you don't believe that there even was such a time do you deny their existence? And if you do not deny their existence then what happened to them?
Job speaks of "larger than life" creatures.

Job 40
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

Another Larger than life creature in Job

Job 41
1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?

8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?

10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?

14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.

15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.

16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

18 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.

24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

25 When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

26 The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

27 He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.

30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

Scenery/nature and animals are nice, but not as affective, at least for me that seems to be the case.

The human form is more awe inspiring, the complexity of it. We have trillions of individual cells which make up our bodies. There is no way that happened just by evolutionary processes.

FFH, I don't see jack squat in there that defines anything for sure. Some want to use those passages for dinosaurs. You seem to want to use them for mammoths. They don't mean anything and don't answer my question at all. What, specifically, happened to them? If they existed, these ice age creatures, then where are they now and why weren't they saved in the ark?

Thanks for getting that title for me.

I have good arguments for creation, but it's tough for me to express them at times.

Christians are considered fools, fools for believing the truth.

I think he did an excellent job.

Not all Christians are considered fools FFH. Just the ones who will not accept scientific fact and would rather believe the earth is only a few thousand years old despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary that they just ignore. YECs are not fools for being Christians, they are fools for putting their ear plugs in and blindfolds on and humming madly while they are repeatedly proven wrong.

I know I'm being rude...but I really don't care at this point. The idea that some people are so willfully ignorant of the facts astounds me to the point of incredulity.

And with that...I retire to bed.

There are some creationists who believe the earth's axis was at one point parallel to the sun's axis, which created conditions whereby plants, animal and human life thrived beyond what we see today. Before the flood, men lived hundreds of years, after the flood the Lord changed the life span of man to 120 years.

My theory is this, that at the time of the flood the earth's axis was tilted, which actually caused the flood (the seas to flood the earth). Season's were created and many of the LARGER creatures could not survive the harsh winters, since they depended on large plants and trees for their survival.

This scripture is written AFTER the flood of Noah, proving my point, that there may NOT have been seasons prior to the flood, meaning the earth's axis was parallel to the sun's axis.

The larger creatures slowly died off, they could not survive these types of conditions.

Gen. 8: 22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

We are in a period when the earth's magnetic pole is reversing and the earth's axis may change again, due to this current magnetic pole reversal. We may go back to a time when there will be NO MORE WINTER, no seasons AT ALL.

The only way using people is more effective is if you want to show off how shallow a person you are and how superficial you are.
Sorry Draka....I've been burned by too many people.

God is my friend.

I love people, but it's true, MOST are shallow.

I keep my distance from most, because of the many things I've been through.

My life is not at all pretty.

You have to understand one thing about me, I love to observe people, but not get involved with them. I've tried that, it never works out. I always end up doing what they want and ruining my own life, because the other person did not regard my thoughts and beliefs as valid or worth anything. My thoughts were trash to them, most just wanted me for what I could GIVE THEM.

I have to hold my ground and think for myself and "work out my own salvation with fear and trembling".

I've tried to be everything for everybody, but that never works out.

It's okay to worry about ourselves and take care of ourselves and do what's right for our own well being, otherwise we will end up in an institution.

Alma 34
37 And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should work out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ;

No, I appreciate art in the human face.

I agree, it's hard to see beauty in a photo, without knowing the person.

It's a WHOLE package. I know that MORE than you give me credit for.

FFH, as a Christian, I see plenty of room for evolution and the story in Genesis. Remember those dinosaur bones and where they fall in geological time. If God is a trickster,(and I'm sure he is not), has geologically speaking unwittingly harmed the very people He is trying to save.

Peter 2 3:8 (NIV)
8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
Even a "thousand" is symbolic.

Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)
9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.
Surely the 1001th < generations are included as well. You got to watch out for Jewish symbolism, it reeks havoc on English literalism. :areyoucra
