You’d come to see how accurate knowledge of the Bible engenders love for others, and how Jehovah’s blessing would help to transform your life.

Sorry, but that claim simply does not fly. Christians have to constantly make up excuses for God's evil behaviors. Which makes the term "apologetics" more than a little ironic.


You cannot "understand" scripture if you base it on a false narrative as every literalist has to.

Jesus said His followers were going to be hated by the world.
Why do you think that is?

It's not because they go around thinking they are the only saved ones, that they are special having had the "true gospel" restored to them in the early 1900s America, and that everyone else but themselves are lost sinners because they have different ideas about God than them, or something or other.

Being despised by others is not an automatic indication one's rightness with God. Most people despise Neo Nazis, conmen and pathological liars, as well arrogant people in general. Is that proof they are God's chosen ones because the world hates them? They hate oppressors and slaveholders too. Is this proof they are on the right path to Divine salvation?
