Did you have strange beliefs as a child?

I remember when I was a child, I thought that Americans were the only human beings that had feelings.

I also didn't think women defecated.

And I hated the British.

Did you have any weird beliefs as a child?

I don't remember how old I was when I realized there was something called time that actually passed. I could hardly believe there was a past, a present and a future. How odd.

Yes but not strange like the previous ones...

As a 5 year old i would chase cars to stop the people in it dying in the accident ...
never caught one, and sadly accidents happened a few streets away.....

was about 7 when i forced my parents out of a department store lift, which fell down the shaft after a cable malfunction, fortunately no deaths, just some injury, and not my family ...

Well I believed in God. Oh and that the moon would chase me when I ran through the fields.

And once a read a book about kid who was supposedly the son of Apollo. He could look at the Sun and see his father. Normal mortal children couldn't do this. So I sat staring at the Sun for an hour or so trying to see if I was related to Apollo. Should have a warning label on some of these children's books.

There was a cartoon I had seen called Marine Boy, and I had certain strange beliefs related to it.
It got into my imaginary friends category. :D True. What a dopey kid I was.

Brick you change your avatar so much, I keep thinking you're a new member
I used to change it very frequently. I am currently trying some things out, so its going to change a few more times. Then I will probably keep something for a few months before going for something new. I'm never quite satisfied with my avatar.

You are in good company. I was reading a biography about Isaac Newton. It said that as a child he stared at the sun and went blind. He locked himself in a dark place for several days until his sight returned.

It was the way they thought they were better than everybody else and how their empire fought Wars on every single continent... The British Empire was an evil empire. I didn't think they had souls or were even human beings

Interesting. It's weird how nonBrits talk and think more about our Empire than we. It's very infrequently mentioned here.
