I can't even imagine voting for someone (or not voting for someone) based solely on his/her political affiliation. Me... I vote for the person, not the party, and my votes are all over the political spectrum.
I vote for the party that cares about people like me and that actually has a chance to win.

You want a socialist nation?
Bernie wasn't a real socialist....more of a welfare state type with high taxes & lots'o regulation.
And the worst of his ideas would never have been implemented.
His one great power, ie, to wage war, was what mattered to me.
He was the least hawkish of all Dem contenders & Trump.

Revoltingest actually got to answering before I had a chance. My politics don't necessarily line up with Bernie's but I can respect him as a person far more than I do either Trump or Clinton.

Not a real socialist but a step in that direction. Don't like the high taxes. I'm taxed more than enough already!

I agree.
But Congress would limit what Bernie could do.
So (IMO) the net effect of his high tax & less war agenda would prolly
result in less death & waste than a Donald or Hillary presidency.

I know I'm just guesstimating about these alternatives.
But it's all I gots to go by.

fair enough...choosing between Hitler and Stalin would be tough....I'd choose Hitler personally. Stalin was more intrinsically Atheist!...but tough choice anyway! They're both disgusting!

Where we are different is I would never make the choice I would fight each to my death. I am not at that stage with Trump and Clinton is gone but was talking with my son's and they asked what it would take before we move to Canada(have family there). My wife and I at the same time said we would fight not leave.

I see. That's an interesting conundrum from my perspective.
