Difficult to Admit Being Wrong.

"If you admit you are wrong on one issue, you have become wrong on every issue, and are therefore worthless to human society."

I found the opposite to be the case, if people see you can admit when you are wrong they are more likely to trust you when you are adamant that you are not.

If I have been a dick, I try to make up for it, and apologize to those I've upset. Everyone gets heated and says things they either don't mean or wouldn't have said had it not been for some silly argument.

Sometimes it's hard to apologize when you don't think the other party will accept or reciprocate an apology when it comes to beliefs etc. I find that it's harder to apologize to someone who refuses any kind of explanation or understanding simply because they are insecure - and would rather be mean.

But I'm sure we're all guilty of that from time to time.
