You have this exactly backwards. The first amendment protects free speech and limits government action. In this case the first amendment protects Disney and their right to speak out against the so called "don't say gay law". And it prohibits the goverment (DeSantis is the government) from trying to shut down free speech.

Politicians have also double freedom of speech: immunity.
So they cannot be held accountable for anything they say, while they perform their duty.
At least in my country.

But they certainly don't have immunity for what they do. The laws they pass have to be constitutional. In the U.S. they have to follow the U.S. constitution and in Italy they have to follow the Italian constitution.

And DeSantis cannot pass laws that discriminate against Disney just because he doesn't like something Disney said. That is not constitutional.

Regardless of whatever you don't like or think is "woke", it doesn't justify a legislator abusing their power to punish a business for speaking out against homophobia.
