I thought this was cool. I didn't even know they held wedding ceremonies. Apparently you can get married in Cinderella's Castle.

Perhaps I'm cynical, but I think this quote from a Disney spokesperson:

"We believe this change is consistent with Disney's long-standing policy of welcoming every guest in an inclusive environment," Disney Parks and Resorts spokesman Donn Walker said Friday. "We want everyone who comes to celebrate a special occasion at Disney to feel welcome and respected."

Should actually read:

"We believe this change is consistent with Disney's long-standing policy of welcoming every guest's dollar. We want everyone who comes to celebrate a special occasion at Disney to feel welcome and respected and spend their money."

My family actually calls him Money Mouse - not Mickey Mouse.


But, guess where we went during the last three day weekend???

I'm not surprised. In the past few years Disney has been welcoming to the GLBT community. They would be hypocrites for pushing films that teach tolerance while not practicing it in their own parks.

Anyways, good for them I guess. I'm neutral on gay marriage, but that's a pretty decent business move I guess.
