Divination Modalities

Do you think I can benefit from dream divination? Should I try to keep a dream journal?
That’ll make my dreams more memorable, I’m sure.

Quite possibly..

My nightmares came through when I was under psychological or emotional stress.

And sometimes these dreams helped me realize I had something stressing me I needed to address sooner rather then later.

I Ching and Tarot.

I Ching talks to you like a friend, in my opinion. I had it tell me to stop crying once(I was crying).

That's interesting, because I've always found the Runes, straight forward if not a bit blunt (like catching a hammer). And Tarot has always come at me from rather cryptic angles.

I find the Tarot cryptic at times, too. Its taking me awhile to learn to 'apply' certain cards to certain situations.

How do you do Geomancy? This is not a method I am familiar with :)
On a basic level, geomancy involves the marking of lines in sand at a random frequency. The binary value (i.e., odd or even) determines whether a given figure is made up of one dot or two dots. These dots, individual or paired, are allotted to four lines that constitute a figure. Each line represents a given element in an active or passive capacity. Beyond this, it gets rather complex to describe, but essentially one generates "random" figures at first before eventually deriving other figures from them in a deterministic fashion (i.e, Mothers giving birth to Daughters, etc.). The shield chart is your main general forecast one, while there are house-like charts for more detail and for miscellaneous purposes (like finding the location of lost objects, etc.). If you're interested, Michael Greer's book on the topic is a good resource, and you can probably find other materials for free on the internet.

I've recently started doing Dactylomancy, using a pentagram ring.

Usually this form of divination was done with a ring tied to a string and used in a similar fashion to a pendulum.

I have adopted my own version of this. I take my pentagram ring, say a small prayer, shake it up in my cupped hands, and then without looking at it, I put it on. Which we way I wear it for the day is how I set my Intention. Point up, I focus on the mind and spirit. Point down I focus on the body and earth.

That's fascinating, haven't heard of that form before. If one may ask, how did you develop your specific method of it?

You know, I developed it on my own, after looking into different methods of Greek divination. I liked the idea of divination via a ring. But I've never got good results from pendulums, so I adopted it more like a coin toss or spin instead.

Huh, fair enough.
