Diving in to the muddy part of the mind.

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
One of the ways to become silent in the mind is to dive in to the muddy parts, those that hurt or those memories that you wanted to forget. That way when acceptance of those memories is just that, a memory. The mind settle down more easy. But it is a difficult part of becoming free.
From the path i been on this was the only way to truly become selfless. To not worry about past memories or future obstical that might arise. But only focuse at one task at the time, diving deep in to understand why, how and not worry about what if.....

How do you solve your "past demons" ?

There is nothing to solve. They are a part of my past experiences that led me to where I am today.

They no longer affect me, as I am no longer attached to them.

There's nothing to solve they are the past. They do get triggered from time to time and I feel sad about them momentarily but I remind myself they are the past I learned from them and can not fix them. That's enough to move on from the moment.

I found I've gone through some trauma that's affecting me at present. Spiritually, it's helped with shedding junk out my mind. I read minimalism isn't just about your physical environment but your mental as well. I agree spiritual growth does mean facing your own demons. I feel that's were spiritual awakening begins. I'm in the middle of it but some get it immediately while others gradual.

Hmmm... Good question. Negativity is something that needs to be faced, but at the same time it can be a fruitless and painful endeavor if you don't do it on your terms.

If I'm with a good friend of mine, and I open up to them about something painful that happened to me, they can give me honest feedback or give me a new way to think about the event in general. From there, I have more options in facing those negative thoughts.

Sometimes when we think about negativity, it's easy to get wrapped up in that negativity. Just don't let it get too much control over you.

I try to have a goal in mind when facing negativity. When I achieve that goal, I move on and work on trying to heal that issue. Seems to work well enough for me. If the issue can be corrected (like when identifying harmful behaviors), then even better! :D

They are healed by acceptance and forgiveness. Open wound is a hindrance. Healed wound becomes just a scar. The trace remains but the memory filled with despair is transformed to memory filled with love.

"It isn't time that heals wounds. Love is." (don't remember the author)
