We didn't steal them they are different types.

Any of several carnivorous burrowing mammals of the family Mustelidae, such as Meles meles of Eurasia or Taxidea taxus of North America, having short legs, long claws on the front feet, and a heavy grizzled coat.

for those who feel only Humans have souls... what about the Neandertals? They were not human (confirmed by DNA) but so very close to us as to be nearly identical... did they have souls?
Where does one draw the line between the 'soulless animal' and 'soulful human'?

Does the bible say anything regarding this issue? How do yall's belief systems explain animal "souls" ?
My personal opinion is that if humans have souls then animals have souls.

As for the bible, there is a verse in Genesis that has traditionally been interpreted to mean that animals are inferior to humans.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

- Genesis 1:26-28

However, it doesn't say that animals do not have souls or do not matter. That's your brother's own opinion.

If you read the Bible in its original language, you will see that animals have souls, they are souls. Man has also Pneuma spirit. There is psyche that is soul, and phneuma (spirit).

Nevertheless, they feel and it is a terrible thing how people hurt them because they think they have no soul.

Thruth of the matter is that a human soul might go into an animal body. And then what do you have?

No need to be sarcastic :(

I thought badgers only lived in europe, you must've stole them!
No, sorry, that's not what I meant. It was an inside that only I could get. Sorry. I went to florida, and my cousins over there thought we didn't have the internet (or pizza) on the "uncivilised" west coast. It just reminded me of that when you asked if we had badgers. Sorry, Hal.:bonk:

Every living thing has a soul. Animals are also much more inteligent than most people want to admit, are very unique, and also have feelings. My brothers black lab was actually crying after he moved out. She knew that he wasn't their anymore, and it was quite obvious that she missed him. She had actual tears flowing and was wimpering.
