I think it's not about being atheist or religious, but on how a person sees things ( as they say, beauty lies on the eye of the beholder). About the image, I think the one who created that thinks that atheists have better view on the future because they (supposedly) look up to the advancements and modernization(tall sky scrapers and the like) while the followers of Abrahamic religion (majority, if not all) supposedly looks forward to the 'end' ( Judgement day as some may call it). But if you further "dig deeper", it still goes to my conclusion that it depends on how a person, as an individual views things. Because, suppose that if such a follower views the "end of time" as not really the "end" like the picture suggest, but a new life (like what I believe in) with the Being that he/she loves (no more pain, suffering,etc) then I don't see how that made the 'followers' as "less positive" than those who are "non followers". You dudes can still call such belief as a "delusion", but that doesn't change how these people view things.
