Not exactly true. While biology may examine certain things, evolutionary scientists may examine and form opinions about some things, they are not the same. Now here's a scene for a science fiction book: let's take dna from a (dead) chimp on its way evolving as fossil scientists may have realized it, and then grow it in a lab and see what turns up. LOL! OK? Now if you want to write a sci-fi story about that, go ahead, people's heads may shwim. And you could earn a few dollars.
Let's pretend a chimp or "close relative" was found on its way to developing into another lifeform, such as whatever humanoid type being is said to come before homo sapiens.
I'm not sure what "Dad" believes, I'm just asking you to see what you think.
