Hinduism doesn't use the word 'prophet'. But we do have persons who are basically the same thing. There are persons who have had revelations from God in various ways or through meditation (could also say this is from God). But we don't only have these people who are like prophets. We do believe that God appears directly in this universe and we also believe in persons such as yogis/rishis who could be compared to the concept of 'saints'.
