Which one is the "cattle": the human or the hamster?Leviticus 19:19 forbids this kind of thing,
You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.
Probably for a good reason...
I doubt God will imbue it with a soul.
The point of the verse is not to adulterate anything. Not just those specific things.Which one is the "cattle": the human or the hamster?
If I remember the law class I onceToday I learned something new. Human hamster hybrids are a real thing and are not all that rare. A humster, as the name implies, is a hybrid using human sperm and a hamster ovum. Don't worry, they are not viable (we hope) and are killed off very early. One of the uses of them is to test the viability of human sperm when planning to use them in in vitro fertilization.

Please away with the literalism.
Sounds like something from a tabloid tbph. Probably is.The Orthodox and Catholic churches would say yes, (non-human) animals have souls. Different than human souls, but yes.
But a hamster/human hybrid? Hmm...
It sounds rather bogus.Reminds me of the humanzee. Lot of unethical stuff regarding that. For example one scientist tho I failed cuz ethical folk took his funding after hearing about his plan...he had wanted to impregnate african women without their permission or knowledge with the semen of chimpanzees claiming he was doing an exam of sorts. It's been a long time since I read said story I don't even remember the scientists name
Yeah and there's never been one but folk have tried to experiment in an attempt to make oneIt sounds rather bogus.
One thing is fairly sure is that even if the fetus could not survive until birth there would be a conception.
Ivanov’s plan was simple: Head over to French Guinea, grab some apes, and pay local women to get on board. But there was one big problem. Ivanov hadn’t considered the social factors at play. West African folklore at that time featured stories of women being carried away by apes and raped. These women were ostracized by their communities. So, in a place where your community meant life or death, no woman would sign up, no matter how much Ivanov offered.
His second plan was to get men from his team — who were kept anonymous but listed as being of proven virility — to donate sperm. Ivanov would then inseminate all the female chimpanzees they could find. The problem with this, though, is that chimps are hard to find, harder to catch, and even harder to keep. Despite this, he found 13 chimpanzees and set about his artificial insemination.
After several months, there were no viable pregnancies. There was no humanzee gestation, at all. By now, Ivanov was desperate: Not only did he have a theory he wanted to prove, but he had been gifted $10,000 from a notoriously gulag-friendly government to spend. So he changed tack. He decided to inseminate women against their will under the guise of gynecological examinations. Thankfully for everyone, the French authorities found out about it and sent Ivanov home.
I am not so sure if they have. There are rumors of the Soviets doing so, but those could be just slander against the commies.Yeah and there's never been one but folk have tried to experiment in an attempt to make one
What a most interesting manner in which to break the ice:One of the uses of them is to test the viability of human sperm when planning to use them in in vitro fertilization.

I have never taken it. It appears to be the sort of test given to the male member of a couple that is having trouble having a baby. What a most interesting manner in which to break the ice:
So, Have You Passed The Hamster Test?
Don't know. Would not surprise me if someone attempted tho science used to be a lot less ethical then it is now. Folk for example tried to get dolphins to talk and fed them lsd. And dolphins are clearly incapable of human speech their anatomy wont allow it that experiment was clearly setting them up for failure. I mean I can see why someone would think of creating a humanzee. Humans look similar to chimps, mules are a result of horses and donkeys...i can imagine someone trying to create a hybrid with articfical insemination even if unsuccessful. Sure it could just be rumors that folk attempted it but it's not really a subject I've found interesting enough to look into details about. Currently im sick. So I dont feel like verifying the info if true or not at the moment. It's just what ive heard about Ilya Ivanov.I am not so sure if they have. Yes, governments can do what decent people would not do. Most scientists, though very curious, at least think out the consequences of what would happen if it did happen.Don't know. Me either. The question was aimed more at those that insist that a soul enters the body upon conception.Don't really know what a soul is or is supposed to be.
