Do Mormons accept Muhammad, or do Muslims accept Joseph Smith?

The reason why I say we cannot accept Joseph Smith as a prophet is for this reason. Under Islam Allah tells us all prophets follow a blood line. If you braha'm take our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh and his family) he was of the blood line of Prophet Abraham(pbuh) Whether or not you accept him as a prophet or not he was from the bloodline of Prophet Abraham through Prophet Ishmeal Abraham's son of three. God tells us in scripture in all of our books Torah Bible and Quran Through Prophet Abraham(pbuh) when he fufilled his covenant with God. My Lord made His seed leaders of Mankind ie.. PROPHETS. Did Joseph Smith have the blood line of Prohet Abraham or what prophet or book was he revealed in????

Hey, I just noticed this thread. Without taking time to browse the whole thing (especially since most of it seems to be five months old), I will just state my views.
I believe that Muhammad was inspired by God and was really called to be a messenger. I believe that his message has brought a great deal of light to the world. Unfortunately, I feel that many people have rejected and changed his message to fit their own ideas. This seems to be the pattern with all prophets. I believe this is also what happened to the original Gospel of Jesus Christ that was taught by him when he lived on this earth. Here is a verse from the Book of Mormon:

I do understand what you are saying Davy Crocket 2003. What i am saying is just this. When God makes men Prophet he used a Divine blood line All prophets including Jesus Christ. In understanding God's law we must understand the grounds one has to pass grounds. Prophet Muhammad was of the Blood line of Prophet Abraham (1 st fact. He was given a book The Holy Quran and given his people a direction to turn for us The Kabah. Understand what i'm saying was John Smith of Prophet's Abraham blood line? If so show me proof..

I believe he is a descendant of Abraham. However, I do not believe that just because someone is a descendant of Abraham, they are a prophet. Even if I could prove Joseph Smith was a descendant of Abraham, would it change your opinion of him? Maybe... I doubt it. It seems to me there must be a better way to judge a prophet true or false. There has got to be a way to test whether a prophet is telling the truth, or just trying to gain attention and followers. Don't you think God would provide us with some way of knowing? Are we supposed to guess and hopefully get lucky? Let me ask you, why are you a Muslim? Why do you believe in Allah?

By the way, Joseph Smith is a descendant of Abraham through Ephraim, the son of Joseph, son of Israel (Jacob).

I think there must be a valid test. Like maybe God would be willing to make it known to each of us who are willing to study it out and ask him. I mean, why would God, who makes so many requirements of us, and loves us, etc., make it impossible to find him in this life?

Ram the reason I question what you said here is because many Islamic scholars say that Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, etc. may have been prophets, and they're certainly not Abraham's descendents. Also the Quran says a messenger has been sent to every nation.

A divine blood line? I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly or not. Are you saying Muslims believe prophets are divine?
