I mean sitting in silence, trying to look inwards. What do you mean by meditation ?
Because we recite a lot the Quran or we listen to it.
Also, a lot of invocations.
So, what do you mean ?
I mean sitting in silence, trying to look inwards.
I was in and out of this phase a couple of times before. I even managed to 'see' God in everything once from doing a few meditations/contemplations.It was a little bit surreal..Felt too close to the supernatural/God (still not sure whether it was God or something else..). The experience was just too unnerving..Sometimes I do feel a pull to do it again, but I guess I'm just not strong enough to keep the connection.
Anyone had similar experiences from meditating/contemplating?
what would you do if thoughts about allah comes to you while you meditate?Usually when you meditate at 'no mind' level, you can feel that so close to God
There is a term Muraqba in Sufism. Perhaps you are referring to that.
What do you mean by meditation ?
to clear all the thoughts(even those about god), and focus on whats inside us.
Not sure whether islam has different explanation for meditation.
