Yes I notice that,I don't know why they did that !

I just find it strange , I faced this issue with a member, he always switch his religion many times !

He defend Christainity, next day he attack it !

Sometimes,I am confuse who I talking with :D
That is indeed interesting.

Sometimes a person cares for an idea or group so much that it is that much more difficult to accept the drawbacks and shortcomings.

And sometimes it seems to work the other way as well. It is possible to have such a serious need to criticize something that it becomes paramount to go out of our way to present its case fairly and without bias in order to emphasize our point.

The way the title is worded loads the question a bit - 'too' ;)

I think that at the end of the day, you need to find somewhere to settle. That digging a well analogy is one of my favourites. Need to stay in one place and dig until you find water, and drink

But if you haven't found the right place yet it's totally right you should keep searching. An identification with labels is something you leave in the end.

It's more alarming to me that it seems to be human nature to not change one's beliefs -- even when an overwhelming weight of reason and evidence would suggest that one's beliefs are false.

Ah, but is a religion its beliefs? Do all rely on certain beliefs?

Any?

I noticed that some people change their religion/belief like two-three times a year. Is it good or bad, in your opinion? What would you think of them, or would you think anything of them specifically for this? Do you think it implies anything?

I personally don't have problems with them and care for them like any other, but this kinda makes me feel uneasy about it as a practice.

Amos 8
11: "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "when I will send a famine on the land; not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.
12: They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.

Jeremiah 15:
15: Behold, I am bringing upon you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, says the LORD. It is an enduring nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor can you understand what they say.

Here are some quotes from the nation afar. If you understand them, then you were chosen to be a part of the nation from afar.

A few living in the Word of God will understand the Bible, but many will live in the Bible and not understand the Word of God.

One mind is enough for us all, but most minds get confused.

We all die once, we all die twice, we all live once.

Not everyone can see it. Not everyone can hear it. Not everyone can know it. But everyone will bow to it.

When you look for something you can't see, all you need to do is ask the one who made you blind and deaf or just be patient until you no longer have to look for it.

Well, to me those are two entirely different observations because one's religion hardly equates to a belief.

I would question whether or not it is possible for someone to switch out their religion - that is, their all-encompassing way of life that articulates how they understand reality, relationships amongst various aspects of reality, and life's purposiveness in a way that is an expression of their personal or cultural values - with any sort of rapidity. It takes years to build up that sort of worldview, and it takes years to transition into something else. It has to be done pieces at a time, and takes quite a bit of effort and dedication. So I would suggest the people "switching" religion are switching the label they apply to their way of life more than anything else, at least if they are doing that often. There is just no way to make those sorts of dramatic changes in a short time frame given how deeply-held and internalized one's religious system is. So I guess I would say I don't view it as good or bad to frequently "change" one's religion because I don't agree that it is even possible to do that in any meaningful way.

Changing beliefs - which is basically changing one's opinion or changing one's mind on something - is considerably simpler. Such are micro-decisions that occur within the meta of one's religion and naturally shift here and there all the time. I see no reason to call this phenomena good or bad - it simply is.

You mention that you hear of a lot of people switching religions 2 maybe 3 times a Year and you appear to be asking is that right. Well that is a judgment but think about it this way. If you found a Gem and knew it was a Gem would you just leave it there or would you take it and treasure it. Many people don't recognize the Gem that God gives them. They might check it out but discover there is a great price to pay. There is a cost = your soul for eternity. Everyone has to investigate and seek God in which ever way and how they find Him. He does exist. There is evidence. Look at the world you can explain only so much and just because you can't explain everything does not mean it doesn't exist. Something Somewhere Some How created all of this. Science was created by God and it can't explain it self let alone all the things in and on this earth. There is one being that creates controls and monitors the space in which we exist and have our being. The devil would prefer that we disconnect from this most powerful because then he thinks he wins. Because his job basically is to prevent people from being saved and returning to their father. God on the other hand is a patient father image. He waits for us to decide. He doesn't control because he wants us to chose him out of love not because we have to.
Mankind has always been tempted to make our own choices good or bad and think that we are in control. We do control our choices because God allows us to do this but if we have not formed a good conscience then our rights and wrongs can be messed up and we could believe the wrong things; thus making a bad choice for ourselves.
So back to changing religions. today there are so many PEOPLE who have created what they label religion. They make themselves God's and they set their own rules. Look at the list of Religions that have cropped up since the early 1500's. Jesus came to earth and allowed Himself to live among us and to be like us in all ways. Then He seemed to discover His mission is to introduce us to a loving Father who had been trying to talk with mankind since it's beginning. Human's are stubborn and want to do their own thing because the Devil has convinced them that it is better to have all their desires right here and now and to not live for their future. So mankind is confused by all of this and does what is the easiest way to live. The sad part is many people hear the truth and some might even suspect they know the truth but remain searching. They walk right past the one true God and His Church to get what they think they need because they don't recognize Him standing there waiting for them all along. God is real. He loves every person whom He created all He wants is you to recognize Him and to believe. When this happens you have found your church. When you go to heaven for the final judgment you will discover how your choices affected your place in the after life. It might seem foolish right now but trust me; it will be well worth the effort that you make to save your soul. One could try to help a person take a short cut but perhaps that is not the path God wanted you on. There are certain things each of us expected to do and learn along the way and we would do you a disservice to take your choices and your learning time away from you. Enjoy your journey I pray that we meet in the after life. What a beautiful party with all of those who will celebrate the right path. Peace Brother. Find the one true Church and you won't have to hop around making yourself more confused. Love God and Love your Neighbor with Agape.
