Do you believe in reincarnation?

I believe in reincarnation. And I believe that with each incarnation, our spirit splits. This is why we have 'soul mates'. Not just one soul mate, but many. These are all souls who have promised to come back and balance their 'karma', to harvest the fields that they had sown over many incarnations.

Why would you reincarnate, to do it all over again?
So I can experince being a rock star, which was my previous life, a pro-wrestler this life, and maybe another great conquerer in my next one.

I don't believe in it...but i'm not saying it doesn't happen. I think it would be lovely to manage to reincarnate into something better.

This is a great reply, and I agree totally, but what happens when we get it right? My son said to my husband once when he was very young "Daddy, do you remember when I was the Daddy and you were the son?". That made us think!
Then I believe we can either stay in the spiritual world and reconnect with God/Goddess. Or we can become spirit guides. Sort of like Guardian Angels. We help those that have not enlightened themselves to that level of knowledge.

What makes you believe that the Soul or spirit 'splits'? - mto me, Soul mates are 'companion souls' who tend to reincarnate at the same time, with the hope of meeting in life.:)

I believe that soul mates are those who we tend to reincarnate together with frequently. I believe what is called a twin flame, which is the one true person that you are ment to be with a loving relationship.

Yes, I know about twin flames. Adam and Eve were twin flames. Male/female was too much for the human body, so it was divided into man and woman.

I do not know why I believe this. I don't remember ever reading about this. I just see the spiritual world mirrored in the material world. The law of prosperity is seen in nature. If you cut a tree branch, two or more will grow in it's place. If you cut a flower, two blooms will grow in it's place.

I don't know if I can explain why I feel this to be true. I just believe for example Cain and Able, agreed to come back to Earth to balance their Karma, but when they were reincarnated, their spirit splits. So now there are 2-3 spirits who agreed to make it right to his brothers 2-3 spirits. It's like; since they didn't do it right the first time, they have to work harder to make things right.

After coming up with this belief, I saw a movie about Dali Lama. It was believed that the Dali Lama had been reincarnated and they searched all over the world for amazing children that could be the Dali Lama. In the end, after all the 'tests' it was decided that the Dali Lama had reincarnated into not 1 child, but 3. This way, he could touch the lives of 3 times as many people as before.

I'm trying, I can't even find the movie I saw. I was going to post a link to it. I cannot remember the title. I will post anything I can find on this. But like I said, I thought this was an original thought of mine, and no one I talked to had ever seen it this way. But then I saw that movie, and it sort of validated my feeling. It meant that someone else had the same idea.

Well, I was shocked to find it was Little Buddha. I forgot that the movie was 'two part'. I did not care for Keanu Reeves in this movie. I thought it was kind of cheesy. But the story of the 3 children, and their trip to Tibet to decide which one of them was the Lama. And in the end it was decided that all three of them were. That is the part that stood out for me, because I had already thought it would be like that.

The soul spliting theory is interesting. That could possible explian why some people look almost the same, allthough they are not related.
