Do you collect anything?

Used to collect Michael Jordan cards. Started in 1985. Had thousands of them. Sadly in 2007 a burglar decided he needed them more than me.

Edit.... Now days I just collect arrow heads, axe heads and other native American artifacts. I don't buy them, I go find them.

Technology and media. I've got several dozen books, many DVDs and blu-rays and own all kinds of tech in my house. And I don't use all of it either, some of it is just there to be part of the overall collection. I typically use most of the media and technology at some point but I eventually end up replacing old tech with new and I've got plenty of media, tech and video games stored. Out of the 300ish DVDs and blu-rays I have I've probably only used 30-40 of them. Of the 50ish books I own I only read a couple of them. The term collect and just things I normally use gets blurred but I do consider myself a media and tech collector of sorts.

Do you collect anything?I collect comic books.Does anybody else collect comic books?:)
Overall, I've stopped collecting things. Going through a period of time when relocating multiple times (work, life) makes it difficult to maintain. In my youth, I collected Star Trek items and I still have a few pieces left, mainly personal autographs from ST actors I booked during my convention years but some merch as well and a couple of odd-ball items. I also kept some toys from my childhood.

I guess it sort of counts as a small collection but I do have a few pieces of antique religious art (Hellenic gods).

I still have some miniatures (1:12 and 1:6 scale), which makes me want to get back into creating room boxes or bookshelf dioramas. I'm a bit of an oddball and tend to obsess over realistic miniature kitchen items. And if they work, even better.

Weaponry, like swords, polearms, and knives (though these tend towards the functional), as well as Japanese martial arts mostly through my Karate training.

Books, since I am a voracious reader and enjoy having full series.

Musical instruments including primitive drums, guitars, and various woodwinds.

Despite being in the digital age I still buy CDs and DVDs, and even still have VHS collections I watch.

I used to collect more than I do now, since I downsized. I collected alligator stuffed animals and figurines. I used to collect gemstones. Books are not really a collection but I buy a lot. I buy used and sell the ones I no longer want. I collect hearts and suns (not real ones).

I used to collect retro video games. I suppose I still have like 30+ NES cartridges, but I had to liquidate a couple years back and haven't really had the drive to replace my gems (which would be step 1 of restoring my collection).

I started collecting Magic the Gathering cards again recently... but again... not with the enthusiasm I used to have.

These days I'm starting to see more value in getting rid of crap rather than collecting it.

Books, physical and digital (I have over a thousand books on my Kindle and have space on it many thousands more)

Band merch (I've owned an impressive amount of tour shirts over my life; at one point, almost every shirt I owned was a tour shirt)

Physical media of music and films I love (I have a bunch of special edition Blu rays and 4k discs because of that)

And, posters and video games.
