A sure way to catch me crying is during a viewing of Bjork's Dancer In The Dark film or the movie Electric Dreams where Edgar the computer confesses his love for the Virginia Madsen character. If you put on the Electric Dreams Original Motion Picture Soundtrack I will cry on cue like Pavlov's dog to the theme behind that scene. Never let it be said that I do not weep well.

I don't often cry, but when I do oh boy is it ever a full on waterfall. It usually happens when I'm sad or depressed or extremely worried.

God Bless,

I don't cry that often. Then last time I cried was over Christmas break when my gf and I broke up. That was an extremely rough and emotional time.

I used to cry at the drop of a hat when I was a kid (my sister and mother thought it was an act, but I really couldn't help it...much to my dismay ). I got teased at school a lot for it, and didn't manage to break the habit until midway through high school. I still cry fairly often, mostly it's because I'm easily drawn into storylines - tv, movies, books - and I'll usually cry when someone dies or something tragic happens in a show I'm watching or a book I'm reading (I was crying yesterday because Masterharper Robinton died in the Anne McCaffrey book I was reading - even though I've read the book before, and knew it was coming  ). I cry way more often about that sort of stuff (it never lasts long though), than I do about personal stuff. Usually when I'm crying because I'm really upset or sad about something that personally affects me, it's because I've bottled stuff up and not talked about it. Those times I can cry off and on all day, until it's out of my system.

I went through a lot of loss in my life just a few short years ago and used to cry a lot then. Now I don't cry that much at all, seems they kind of dried up.

I will cry at certain movies and songs on the radio that remind me of what I lost though. It's like a cosmic slap in the face at times.

Here's a movie for you that I gaurantee you had at least one of two reactions if not both...The Green Mile...either cry, get angry, or both at once. I don't care who you are...it holds true;) . Don't even deny it:tsk: .:D

You should try reading 'I Heard The Owl Call My Name' if you thought that was bad. I was reading the end of that on the school bus:eek: ...even now, I can pick the book up and read the last 12 pages and I'm off. Don't even have to read the rest.

I normally cry when I get dumped by a girlfriend. Since I don't date anymore, I haven't cried since :)!

Interesting; since 'crying' was always such a big 'No No' for men to admit to when I was young, of the people who have posted, there have been 9 men, 7 women and 1 undisclosed. I am surprised!:)

There was no option for crying when you get frustrated... Seeing as that is what I do, I can usually handle things well, but if stuff just continuosly goes wrong.... then I find that sitting down and havin a good boo hoo helps a bit.

Are we talking crying as just tears flowing or the whole sobbing, hiccup mess?

I hate it when I cry in public but I do cry during some movies. Steel Magnolias was an absolute tear jerker. Titanic did not make me cry. Books can make me cry. Usually it's just tears, although the Passion had me sobbing out loud.

Worshipping, whether through music or prayer, can bring tears from extreme joy.

Extreme anger can make the tears flow. I know when this happens, the other person sees it as a weakness and they have absolutely no idea how very close they are to being decked. The tears are rage controlled. Fortunately, I've only been that angry 2 or 3 times in my life.

I'm not a noisy crier. It's usually just tears and if I turn my face away, nobody is the wiser.

Have been there and done that a few times Melody.. I agree some see it as a weakness, if they only knew. It takes a lot for me to get to that place and its not one I enjoy going to.

I confess I cry every time I read one of Ceridwen's or Spinkle's political posts. The tragedy of great minds gone wrong and voting for Bush always brings out the tears.
LOL funny Sun.

I like George too.. nothing wrong with that is there?:p

I say if you are going to have a emotion sometimes it is useful to exercise it and display it well. The most exciting weeping comes when my human side takes over even though my spiritual side should know better.
