Do you have questions about Christianity? Ask away

Do you have questions about Christianity? Ask away . .
Beyond knowing how to use Google, what are your qualifications to answer questions about Christianity? Will you speak from your own biased perspective, or will you give answers that cover the broad range of Christian opinion?

What are your views on the concept of the Trinity in Christianity. Do use caution before just beginning to blather. I'm not a child and am fairly conversant on the subject. Oh, and for the record, I didn't get my information by using Google and a web browser.

I've studied and learned about Christianity for over 8-9 years.

What are your views on the concept of the Trinity in Christianity.
Jesus Christ is the true God. The Holy Trinity is Father,Son, and Holy Spirit ~One God.

And this we understand and learn through the ancient Ecumenical Councils of the Church.

.

That was pretty much what I was wondering.

So here's my question,
with as many versions of christianity out there
as there are people
who call themselves christian...
how can anyone possibly claim to have any difining answers
as to what is or isn't "really" christian/"christian belief"/christian doctrine etc

I will answer questions specifically in context.

will you give answers that cover the broad range of Christian opinion?

What exactly does this question have any pertinence to . .?

Seeing as how I will answer them to best of my knowledge.

No. . . .
Thanks for an honest reply friend.
I would suggest that people seek their answers from scripture, God and Jesus in particular.Far too many people put more weight on what Paul or the Apostles say rather than Jesus Himself. What can be seen from forums and religious boards this world abounds with 'would-be' teachers all believing they have the answers. None of us know the full complete answers (being imperfect) and therefore run the risk of replacing it with our opinions - a dangerous practice leading to misunderstanding and deception. We should all hold back a little more when it comes to absolutes.:)

I have a nebulous view of Christianity.

I thought it was relevant to ask questions exchange thoughts about various topics.
Perhaps I got the wrong impression friend that YOU had all the answers. Sorry if I did.
No it is not wrong to ask questions - but of each other ???
Are we not told that the whole world is deceived Rev.12v9 ? It is a case of the blind leading the blind. That certainly makes ME wary of believing anything anybody claims to know and believe . Only GOD/CHRIST have the truth, only THEY open our understanding.

But which particular translation/interpretation of God's Word?
Perhaps not all translations are done by men of God - I wouldn't know.
Myself I'm with KJV and the occasional NIV which have given me no problems as to confusion or misunderstandings.
If we are going to blame translations/interpretations we may as well not discuss religion at all ???

The point is that you claimed one can simply rely on god's word alone, but the problem lies with there being conflicting claims as to what god's words actually are/mean (hence the multitude of different denominations and different editions of the bible). I was just curious what you thought what the real words of god were, and why you thought what you see as the true translation/interpretation was more accurate than the rest.

Let us take the 10 Commandments for inst. in Ex.20.
Are you saying they differ in every translation so that we can not know them ? If they do this is the first I have heard of it. What would be the point of God giving them if all they do is cause confusion ? And scripture says such is not GOD's doing.
