Do you like changes?

I like changes if they make our lives easier.
Inventions in the field of technology, transport and medical care has definitely benefited us and i'll be looking forward to more such developments, but at the same time i don't want the old things to be replaced by modern stuff.
I mean, i don't have any problem with new gadgets, softwares, better surgical procedures or electric cars ... but at the same time, i would like the old products to stay in the market, along with the new and better products. Let them both be a part of our lives.

From 2006 to 2012, I was very happy with my Nokia keypad symbian phone. Played a lot of action games on it. The audio quality was good too. There was no reason for them to pull it out of the market.
After it broke down i couldn't find it in the stores as it was discontinued and so i was forced to buy a touch phone. Even though there are many benefits in touch phones, i have a real hard time typing on it.
I often end up touching portions of the screen, where i shouldn't. Playing adventure or action games on touch phones is nearly impossible for me. I wish the nokia symbian phones were still available. :(

Do you like changes or do you like things to remain the same?

Or, like me, do you prefer both old and new to co-exist alongside?

Do you have an attachment for certain old things and wished they never went out of existence?

I miss the old iPod classic.

I miss the internet before it became an advertising platform.

Change is good I think as long as it actually is progressive and useful, but I know digression is also change and a part of life for which sometimes, its best to adapt and work around it.

More like an advertising cesspool. I'm starting to wonder if there are more ads than there is content now.

Change scares me

But in a broader sense, a society that does not change is a dead one. So it’s inevitable

Change is the fundamental quality of our world, it’s the very fabric of nature. And yes, it’s scary, but it needn’t be.

Instinctively, we cling to all sorts of transient ephemera to make ourselves feel safe, but they can’t make us safe. Anything we grab hold of slips through our fingers like sand. Only by letting go of the transient and connecting to the infinite, can we know serenity; and only God is infinite.

The very idea of the impermanent nature of our physical bodies and the things around us, was somehow known to me, even at a young age 6 or 7 years old.

I remember i was at my cousins place. We were getting ready to leave and i didn't want to leave. Everyone around me were like, oh, you can always come back again in the future and pay them a visit. But i was adamant.
As i was crying and trying my best to pursuade others to let me stay for a few more days, i still remember saying to them that if i visit them later, all my cousins will be grown up by then and it wouldn't be any fun to play as grown ups.

Spirituality has definitely helped me a lot to get over the fear of change. :=)

Change is inevitable, so most of it I'm pretty neutral about. Some things I like, some things I dislike. I like having the old and new co-existing together. There are some technological improvements which have made life easier. I don't miss rotary dial telephones or manual typewriters all that much.

On the other hand, I do feel today's generations miss out by not being able to experience the alluring odor of ditto machines.

It depends. Change in product is okay, as long as I have choices. At some point, my choices will dwindle, and I'll probably find participating in society more difficult, but that's okay, because as time goes on, I care less and less about doing so.

I don't always care for relationship changes, which I find are often negative. I miss friends that go away or stop being friendly. I accept these changes, but I don't like them.

I like watching my kids grow. I know someone who laments constantly that her children are growing, but I think its fun. I think its awesome that I can sit down and have a more complex conversation with my oldest son or niece than I can with some adults.

I don't like changes in music styles. In a world that's supposed to be open minded and all encompassing about musical taste, I am stubborn and close minded, and I tend to only like music from one era(there is a little wiggle room here), and from one genre(I almost never budge here).

I really enjoy clean socks, though. Not fun to be stagnant there.

I wish music style of the 80s, 90s and early 00s still remained in trend. :(

I agree. Stuff now is too.... mechanical... for a lack of a better term.

True. These days its just way too much electro or EDM music added to the vocals.

Cher's hit track 'Believe' that came out in the late 90s, was auto-tuned, but it sounded nice. Followed by Daft Punk's "one more time" which too was auto-tuned. But they were just one or two in a million. Such mecha-tracks didn't take over the mainstream music industry at that time, and i guess that's why we were able to enjoy some good stuff.

Today's mainstream music? ... i dunno. I stoppped listening to them post 2007. There are some good underground stuff that i listen now. :=)

I was always more into the rock scene. Late 90s/early 00s was where it was at for me.
