It was fun when I was a kid. After a while, I guess the fascination starts to wear off.

Professional fireworks displays are fine, although when people start lighting firecrackers in the neighborhood late at night, then it's a bit much.

Also it scares animals, can traymatise them.

Although not 4th july. In France there are organised displays on 14 july and in the UK, Guy Fawkes night is celebrated on 5 November. (And for about a month before with people setting off fireworks throughout the night

Its meh.

Its fun to see elsewhere, but my husband is the guy that likes to light fireworks in the neighborhood in the middle of the night....

I like the big professional public displays, but not the stuff sold in the fireworks stands.

I'm surprised they are still sold to the public, given that as a youth I found out that one could contrive some rather unintended uses for them (the bangers and some others, that is), and given they are much more powerful and ****ing LOUD now! Just annoyances now so often.
