But I understand that the Greek Orthodox(Not to be confused with Eastern Greek Catholics) do not like him or his view of original sin very much.

The Orthodox dislike his writings so much that there's a certain amount of controversy about whether he's even a saint. When I was Orthodox, I defended his personal sanctity, while agreeing with his detractors that his writings pretty much fall in the range from useless to harmful.

I'd certainly add St. Gregory Palamas to the list also but he's decidedly eastern and post-Schism.

They'd still be better off reading Palamas. In my opinion, he's second to none among Christian theologians, with the exception of the Cappadocians.
