Do you remember what toys you liked most as a kid?

My imagination.

I mostly enjoyed writing and reading. I had dolls and stuff, but I wouldn't say those were my favourite.

I think it was probably my stuffed animals while I was allowed to have them.

Atari Pong, Atari Football, and then Donkey Kong. Video games during my youth were so much more simplistic with their line and dotted 2-D video graphics.

I had little toy pet shop animals. They had realistic supplies, and I'd fill up their water dishes as it evaporated.

When I had opportunity, I'd also roll up bits of brownie to stick in the tiny cat boxes...

Books....only books. I didn't really have any toys. My many foster families always insisted on buying me sports crud, which I tossed as soon as convenient, never thinking to ask if I'd like another book, or a chemistry or science set, or a really good slide rule.

Or a musical instrument -- but those aren't toys.

My 1973 Schwinn Stingray Fastback. My grandfather worked as a tool and dye maker at Schwinn and got a discount off the regular price, and Santa brought it on Christmas of '73. Yeah, that's a slick tire on the back.

This is identical to the one I had (go to 6:11 to see it fully assembled)...

They're now a cult classic selling for over $1000 when you can find them.

What type of books?
