I think the universe is infinite and I call it infinite space when I talk about it here to avoid confusion.

And as i said, i don't know, it is currently impossible for anyone to know, all anyone can do is guess

By infinite space, if you mean the everything, including other universes if they exist and whatever else there is out there. In that case i guess space has always existed.
