You are probably experiencing the new metrics that Google has installed that average searches over time, targeting search responses to your previous search patterns. If you have Googled "immigration" and also Googled "Canada", even separately, the combination would be a logical response.

Googling Canada I can understand given I follow Canadian ice hockey and one of my fave bands is also Canadian, but I can't think of any time I'd have googled immigration.

Maybe the big internet companies track cheese purchases, particularly immigrated cheese purchases. Perhaps you have purchased such cheese? In that case I totally understand why they'd think you were immigrating.
