Does anything happen that is not Gods will?

How is it possible to go against the will of God? It would be like trying to fight determinism and there wouldn't be much need for punishment for uncontrollable events. At least not controllable from our standpoint.

God is called Love. Can anyone go against Love?
Is it love for God to allow us to do bad or to stop us or chastise us? If God allows us to spread hate then it must be his will since he is letting it happen.

I dont think God is a controller of humans.
A red light in an intersection means a driver is to stop. The red light doesnt chastise the driver when they run it.

Even if he doesn't control us is it even possible to do something God didn't plan for? Many people say bad things happen and that God must have some sort of purpose and that his understanding surpasses ours. Do people get hurt or sick or die without getting an ok from god?

It's his will to allow what happens that he does not will, otherwise, there'd be no point in free will.

I do not believe it is possible to go against God's will. How can you believe that God willed creation, that God willed human nature and all its complexities, that God knows past, present and future, but then believe anything can occur against God's will? And for those who say that we do go against God's will, I'm pretty sure even according to your religion, it is God's will that you are able to behave in a manner that he disapproves.

You dont need an OK from God to have a bowel movement.

I've said it before and I say it again:
"Trying to follow the "will" of the gods,
is like driving a bumber car without a steering wheel or a brake petal."
~
And I for one can't seem to find the clutch, let alone the seat belt !

Just bumping along the bumpy road of life !

It is incorrect to say that something that happens is God's will. I believe God grants certain blessings and favors. When "it's God's will" is used to explain away a disease or accident or something of that nature, I don't believe that in the least. I think it's an old superstition, much like believing in a god of earthquakes to explain away something inexplicable.

Some do:

City of Toronto: Transportation Services - Red Light Cameras

So... God wills us to behave in a manner that he would not will?

Isn't this contradictory?

I think reality is the divine order. Therefore any and eveything that happens
is what is meant to be. I think it's impossible to go against the will of divine
order / reality.
