Does Embryo = Life?

But are we more precious and special than pandas?
I love all animals and pandas are no exception, but to answer your question, yes we are more important and precious than pandas, because we're human. We must value our own species above all others. If your house caught on fire and you escaped, but there was another person and your dog still trapped inside and you could only save one, would you even have to think about it?

I think I would risk my life to save all three, mine included.

I wish, in the case of protecting a mothers life or rights, there was not such a heavy price to pay.

That sounds like a whole thread all together.

Why does a spider have no qualm about killing a fly, why does a cat not care about killing a mouse, why does a tiger not care about killing a zebra? Why are we considered precious and special? Because we are precious and special. Man has an imagination, pandas do not. And so far, it is o.k. to have an abortion; it's still legal.
All animals are precious and special. Our being a "higher life form" gives us special power that we should use to preserve life, not destroy it.

In response to Ceridwen, I guess would ideally try and save the everyone but if I had to choose it would really depend on the dog and the human as gross as it is sounds (Jeffrey Daumer v. the Black Stallion? -really no contest).

I also agree with huarjiro in that I do believe we have higher obligations.

I think that the issue between pro-life and pro-choice (to cut to the chase here) has more to do with who gets to choose and control what embroyos live and which die. I prefer a scenario where I get to choose what happens to the embroyos that are my responsibility and obligation hence I am pro-choice.
