Does God care whether we worship her or not?

Viker

Your beloved eccentric Auntie Cristal
If God's a woman it wouldn't be a bright idea to scorn her. If she's a cool lady she won't mind if her kids go about their business, as long as they play nice with each other.

Compared to a abrahamic type god we're bacteria (if even that). Why would someone care if bacteria worshipped them?

What is your source that we're bacteria to abrahamic type god.

Last time I checked humans are not capable of creating universes and life out of nothing. We are not all-knowing and all-powerful. A being of this power and intellect would hardly care what we think or what we do. Human scientists and doctors know plenty about single celled organisms. Do you think any of these scientists and doctors obsess over a single celled organisms beliefs and behavior? I kind of think it is the pinnacle of arrogance to think such a powerful being (if it exists) would be so worried about us.

My thoughts, exactly, in that the human animal is certainly unique, and from our standpoint, we are important, but that doesn't mean that anything beyond this world would find us the least bit interesting. I think we flatter ourselves to think otherwise. Our god concepts tell us more about ourselves than they do about any being who may have created us.

But you dont serve the bacteria, its not yours, but let us have a better example.

if you serve a dog and give him foods, peace and a good living.
What do you expect that he will do when seeing you coming home,
running to you with pleasue, moving his tail,or just run away from you.
Do you care that your dog obey you,go,come, shake hand....etc

Nope, you're still wrong
Dogs are relatively close to us, though, whereas the Abrahamic God is over-the-top and often referred to as 'inscrutable' or otherwise placed beyond our understanding... as if.

It's easy for a human and dog to relate.
I tend to use the allusion to blood cells rather than bacteria in this comparison. You care about your blood cells, sure, as a huge composite, but you have no care at all for a few individuals leaking out.

Your premise that God is female is offensive and untrue. God is a Spirit. However, the Bible consistently presents Jehovah in masculine terms. (Jeremiah 3:14, Matthew 6:9) Exodus 15:3 describes Jehovah as "a manly person of war." While false goddesses abound, the one true God describes himself as Father, never as mother.

Generally speaking:

1. I doubt it.
2. I doubt it. Some spirits might though.
3. Maybe, depends on the deity.
4. Probably, but I'm not sure it's the same thing as human emotions.

That's in reference to deities. Ask me the same question about my concept of God (capital G) and the answer would be no to all.

IMO worship is more for the benefit of humans than deities. I also feel that anthropomorphic deities are largely a human construction, intended to make something alien more approachable. That's not to say that deities don't have characters of their own, it's just that we tend to greatly simplify them to suit our needs.

I've never seen a god, let alone had a god give me food or anything. So your example isn't so great. Also, there are many people in this world who are suffering. Does this mean god just doesn't care about those people? If we are supposed to be his pets and he neglects us, what does that say about gods character?

I find religions that insist that you must worship and grovel toward a god to have any self worth to be offensive.
